I just recently had a chance to test this antenna against the one it was to replace. The original antenna looks almost identical to this one so I thought it would be a fair test. I spent the last week switching back and forth between this antenna and the original, testing it as I drove to and from work over the same route each day. I was also careful to route the cabling and place the antenna in the same spot on the vehicle.I can safely conclude at this point that the Sirius-XM_Tram 2305 antenna is inferior to the original despite the fact that the original antenna is six years old. There were frequent dropouts with the 2305 in the same spots along the route where there were none with the original. That was consistent. I would say that given that the frequency of the dropouts was significant, I will probably not use this antenna and I would suggest you look at something else instead of the 2305 if you are in the market for an antenna.John
