My car is already equipped with a backup camera, so I did not need a separate backup camera. Having said that, it appears to be a quick and easy installation plug-n-play process.I am happy with the forward viewing dash camera. The picture quality is basic, but standard. It works well with night vision and still serves as a rear view mirror. Recording for the dash-cam is motion activated. If the motion that triggered the recording isn't consistent for 10 seconds, then the recording automatically stops, so that it does waste memory storage space. In my case, it's been triggered by a deer running through my yard or a car passing by while I'm parked at work/grocery store.The price is good for a 2 in 1 bundle!
