I used this on a jegs table top blasting cabinet thar struggled picking up media. Man, that little jegs cabinet is a beast now. Unbelievable. If wandering if this may work, it sure does, my old line was 1 tube , with this having 2 tunes, I think thats why it works so good. Has to turn air down for blasting gun parts for ceracote. Would totally recommend.

The harbor freight gun was painfully slow and didn’t feed media. I tried the gravity feed mods from YouTube without any luck.I bought this kit and it works great. It does what a media blast gun is supposed to and quickly removes rust and paint. Don’t mess around with trying to make the cheap guns work, buy this and be done.

this made my cabinet work like magic. I changed nothing but the gun and pickup tube and it took it from a pitiful blaster, to a real deal sandblaster.Cleans effortlessly, so happy I bought this.

Total game changer. It’s turn a next to useless harbor freight sand blasting cabinet in to one of my favorite shop tools. After buying three different guns that either didn’t work or wore out in a few hours the purchased this set up. I’ve used it now for about 4 hours and even the tips is showing wear from the coal slag I’m using. Good old American equity. Don’t waste your money on the knock offer versions that wear out and clog over and over. 4 hours of clog free sand blasting. Well worth the 135$. Yes I would recommend it to a friend and yes I would buy it again but I don’t think I’ll ever have to.

I was rather skeptical that something as simple as a gun and pickup change would help my very balky HF blast cabinet work like it is supposed to. There are lots of mods that can be made to those cabinets, including pretty much rebuilding and redoing them from scratch. There are videos online about how to do this. I really didn't want to tear my cabinet completely apart and redo pretty much everything on it it, so I tried this kit that I read would make a big difference.I'm not sure how or why it works so much better than the setup that came from HF, but using it is like night and day compared to the factory setup. Before, I would only use the blast cabinet as a last resort, because the thing was constantly failing to pick up any media. I'd fiddle with it awhile, then it would work for a few seconds. I spent more time fiddling with it than I did sandblasting. It was more trouble than it was worth.Installing this kit was quick and easy. After I installed it, I have sandblasted several things. Not once have I had to stop because it quit spitting out media. I couldn't be happier with this, and I highly recommend it.

I bought this to upgrade my recently purchased HF cabinet. I previously thought I just didn't have enough air. But, I just picked up a pretty large 7.5hp 8gal SpeedAire unit used. 25CFM @ 175PSI. The HF gun still did not work well. Could not get reliable media suction no matter what I tried. Mostly just blasting air. I spent over an hour trying to blast a ATV suspension control arm. Got very little area down to bare metal.I just received my Skat Blast gun yesterday and installed it. In 15 minutes I had the entire part blasted. And the areas that I previously thought were blasted pretty well turned out to still have crud on them. The part is now actually CLEAN. I expect my powder coating results to be much better. The pickup tube seems to work well, however I may actually try to modify the setup and run a pickup from the bottom of the cabinet where the media trap door is. I feel like it may work even better and will offer more flexibility in movement of the gun with the hoses attached. This is a solid upgrade for the HF cabinet.

Update 08/31/19: The media siphon hose is junk and bends very easily. The hose bends/crimps which prevents the media from being sucked up properly. I wish I had kept the HF media hose. It was stiffer and did not bend. I would suggest just buying the gun and buy your own hoses and fittings. This ended up being more work/$$$ than stated in the listing. Again the gun is great quality. But thats it. See picsA few things you need to know if you are upgrading your HF media cabinet. This is a partial kit. Not a complete kit to upgrade your gun.You will need to buy:-4 hose clamps total.-2 hose clamps to fit the media siphon hose you get with the kit-2 hose clamps for the air supply hose that goes to your gun that is NOT included. HF cabinets use a 1/4 inch air supply hose. The new gun will need a 3/8 inch air supply hose. Chain stores carry the 3/8 inch air hose in 10ft lengths for about $8-$9-A 3/8 inch brass nipple to fit the new 3/8 hose you buy. This will complete your kit.As far as the metal siphon tube that leads to the bottom of the tank, it is bigger in diameter than the HF tube. But it is flemsy because the tube is partially welded to the mount with an L shape and bends easily when installing. You can flick the tube after mounting it and it shakes. A square tube mount would have made it more sturdy. In fact the HF tube is stronger. With that said the gun works great and is a night and day difference in my HF media cabinet. For the price I would expect to receive the 4 hose clamps and the air supply hose. At the least they should tell you you will possibly need to buy these so you dont end up like me in 5pm traffic running to the hardware store. I could have returned the gun but needed it that day. 2 stars for missing items and/or not telling the customer they will possibly need to buy them. 5 stars for the gun performance and ergonomics.
