Designed as a complete upgrade and stronger alternative to the existing Roll-X-Rack models, the Roto Rolling Rack features industrial grade steel threaded rack rails (allowing non-destructive screw mount installation and removal) and a full access rear lid.

Good looking convenient portable rack.Cons: HORRIBLE for actual shipping or travel. Handle flimsy. Seems like it could easily break. Needs to be reinforced with STEEL not roll aluminum. Rack supporting rivets pop out in a heartbeat destroying equipment during shipment.TSA locks sometimes do NOT hold and are difficult to latch. Let me restate: The TSA latches WILL pop open and leave equipment exposed. Understanding this is a rotational molded item, the tolerances may lack exacting measurements.

Not expensive. It works well for computer hardware such as servers and such. As with many of the other reviews the handle does seem almost loose or flimsy, but I can safely say it is not. I have many of these now, some of which have very heavy gear loaded up in there with no issues...

I purchased this as an upgrade from my previous 6u SKB effects case. The first thing you will notice about this case is that it is huge and I don't mean the fact that it is 8u, the walls of the case are very thick and very solid. It takes up more space than I would like but I wanted sturdy and this is as good as you can get at this weight and without going with wood. The patches are solid and I cannot think of any negative in terms of build quality with the exception of the handle. The telescoping handle is a flimsy piece of junk that i assume would break eventually if I actually used it regularly.

nice case and for the most part solid- as everyone else mentions- the handle makes this case feel cheap- it is very loose, impossible to tighten up and bends alot almost to the point that it feels like it is going to break- makes me wonder what skb was thinking having such a strong box but then using a crappy handle- that was the main reason I got this case so I could wheel it around every week- considering getting something else now. Would be a five star product if it were not for the handle.

Box used for Radio, Tuners, power supply's. Box is great, seems very bulletproof. Handle seems to flex a lot, but is actually working well.

This is, by far, one of the best rack cases you can get for your equipment... if you are going on a 30-stop national tour and you have roadies, or if it is going to stay in one solid place with a lot of use for a long time.I purchased this rack to house a guitar rig I'm working on building. Nothing complex - a Kemper Profiling Amplifier (3u Modeling Preamp), Matrix GT1000 (1u Poweramp), a Furman PL-Plus C, and a Korg Pitchblack tuner. I opted for 8U simply to have a few extra slots in case I wanted to expand in the future, and this rack specifically for the TSA latches (so much nicer than the regular case latches), the rolling wheels/handle, and the rotomolded sides to stay stronger in case of droppage. For starters, this case is HEAVY. REALLY HEAVY. And it's just big enough to be awkward to carry, which makes it seem even heavier than it really is.This thing is built like a tank - the only thing better would be a suspension-mounted case for about 2-3 times more in cost. The wheels work awesome, the construction is great. The handle kind of sucks - you have to manually unlatch it. It would have been great to have this work like a suitcase, with a button on the handle.I'm giving it 4 stars - 1 star off for the sheer size and weight, as well as the handle latch.Even with a good review, I had to return it. Not because it was bad, but I can't see myself carrying this down a flight of stairs and out to my car a few times a month for practices and playing at church. If you're just looking to encase and protect your equipment, particularly if you don't have delicate equipment with tubes and aren't touring, skip this, and go with a standard 8U case. I ended up ordering a shallow 6U case from another manufacturer. I would have purchased SKB, since I've had such good luck with their products in the past, but the shallow standard SKB rack cases are too shallow to fit a Furman in (unfortunately).

I'm a huge fan of SKB cases. They protect lots of my stuff in various sizes. Pistols, archery equipment, musical equipment, just to name a few. At first I ordered the 12 space rotomolded rack, which came damaged and was returned. I might have returned it anyway. That one was pretty cheap feeling, and bigger than what I really needed. This one is a totally different story. What a beast. If you're familiar at all with SKB's "i Series" injection molded cases, this is much closer to that quality. It has the higher quality latches (with locks), wheels and a handle. And it's about 5 pounds heavier than the 12 space rack. More beef = more protection. This thing will be hauling my rack mounted equipment for decades.
