Well made. Good zippers. Tons of storage. Thick foam. I have a Fender 70s P-Bass and this case holds it snug.

dislike: my first order had hinges connecting the top from bottom covers. The hinges were secured by screws imbedded in the hard foam shell. The screws pulled and stripped free from the foam. I had used the 1st order for about 8 or 10 years. If you use this case daily, treat the hinges with care. I used my first order only twice or so a week.

this case snuggles my bass guitar very well. The down side is that the case it self is some what heavy and with the added weight of the bass plus accessories the seam on the straps begins to give way so I only carry it by the handle on the side. other than that is very good protection and well made.

Fantastic! Better than I expected... If you consider its a great cross between the convenience of a soft case and protection of hard shell case that you can wear like a back pack, than it isn't too bulky, like other reviews say.... I'm 5'7 and have no problem navigating the streets and subway with it.... The extra pockets within the main pouch keeps all my adapters and meters organized....I have a 4 string jazz bass and it fits fine... I'm happy

Best soft case out there, Offer a great protection for your axe, I store my other bass guitars at the top of my shelf, It's almost 7 feet high and I dropped one of them but there was no damage, ANY damage on my guitar it wasnt even "de-tuned". Pretty good case for a cheap price, lots of pockets to store your gear, stash in your cellphone charger, maybe some sourpatch or gummy worms.

la custodia è fantastica, molto leggera e maneggevole. il rivestimento esterno è resistente e impermeabile. le rifiniture sono eccellenti buona l'imbottitura interna, comodissima per il trasporto soprattutto in spalla.

I bought this item in December with the idea of carrying my Fender Jazz Bass safely but also in a comfortable way as the original ridgid case in not easy to transport. The SKB case seemed suddenly good, but after 2 months one of the straps started to get loose, then I decided to fix that myself. Unfortunately just few days ago, one screw holding the tissue outside somehow ruined all the bottom of my bass while I was carrying it. A big scratch occured and the riparation will cost a lot of money. Unfortunately the people in charge of the warranty, SKB Europe, didn't recognize the problem and they just offered me to swap with a ridgid case (which already I got) ,paying the expenses on my own, and stating that " a semi rigid case is not the best solution for bringing your instrument", probably avoiding to consider that the problem happened because of the case itself.Thumbs up instead for Amazon people, these guys organized a return of the defected item and they gave me another new one.But unfortunately nobody is gonna pay the riparation for my instrument.I hope this review will be helpfull for you colleagues bass players because it is really annoying.Cheers

Overall, this is an awesome bass case. This is the equivalent of the lightweight foam-style cases out there, but a gig bag. My P-Bass fits in there like a glove, and love the outside pocket, which is set up to hold pens, business cards, wallet, paperwork. I also have one of these for my Strat.I have found 2-3 drawbacks to this case:1. There is a mesh pocket on the front, and I mist have caught it on something as it tore within 5 minutes of taking it outside the house. I don't make a habit of storing things in a visible, outside pouch, so this lack of functionality for this aspect doesn't affect me much.2 & 3. Someone mentioned the following about this case, I poo-poo'd it but it really is an issue: You cannot place it on the floor on its side without the case over. That was #2. #3 is that you can't prop it up perpendicular to a wall without it falling over. This does not take away from the protection the case gives the guitar, but it gets to be really annoying after awhile. This does NOT happen with the guitar version of this style of case (that I have - it might happen to others). This case has backpack-style straps, something that I really wanted because as a solo musician, I attempt to take all gear in one trip, and being able to throw this on my back for a short distance frees up a hand to carry a board or small amp.I'd have no problem literally tossing this into a van/pickup as I feel the case does a great job at protecting the bass. An airplane? Probably not, but I would if I were in a pinch.Overall, great case to protect your P-Bass and worth the extra cost when compared to a soft sided gig bag.

This is SO much cheaper than the Mono, which I also tried, and I like it better. VERY sturdy. Slim profile, more narrow than Mono. Best advantage over Mono is the shoulder straps--VERY comfortable to wear as backpack. The Mono's backpack straps cut into my neck. Also Mono seemed half as sturdy as this one.Only downside, as others mentioned, is the zipper is a bit sticky, and actually I might return mine for a replacement because the zipper is a little curved around one rivet and I think it's a manufacturing error. Also the nice furry lining at one place is a little in the way of the zipper, but not too bad. Note: I have to remove my guitar strap to close case, but it's okay because there's a cute compartment under neck where I can store it. I may have to sell my SKB hard shell case now!
