I was pleasantly surprised when these folks arrived. The price drew me in, but once I started using them, their performance more than impressed me. They are powerful and feel good in my hand. Plus the kit came with a charger & 2 batterys. I recommend the Skil brand to anyone looking for a good tool without breaking the bank.

I bought these to replace my old Dewalt power tools that were heavy and didn't hold a charger for more than ½ an hour. These Skil power tools are light and they hold a charge for quite a while. They charger in minutes, which is very nice. They are not too big and bulky, just the right size. I've used the Drill and Impact drive both are easy to use and have plenty of power for home projects. The speaker is loud but not much bass, it's still very good. Overall I give these a 5 for performance. They are perfect for around the house, I'm not sure how they would perform on a job site with constant use though.

I was able to buy the 6-Tool Combo Kit for less than $200 on Amazon; it normally sells for about $400.These Skil 12v tools are a spectacular value. All the tools are compact, reasonably light and feel solid in the hand. They have features - such as the USB ports and great lights - that you don't find on other brands.Performance-wise, they are better than average and can often hold their own against 18v/20v tools. Battery life is ok; I suspect that I will be using the jump charging feature to finish small jobs. For big jobs, bring spares or switch to the 4 amp/hour batteries.Random notes: The first tool I used was the inflator; it is very cool and works well. The light is VERY bright and has an interesting pistol design. The oscillating multi-tool is power hungry, but does a good job with a fresh battery. I like the size and weight of the circular saw, but wish it used a 6.5 inch blade. It is nice that the drill/driver has an 1/2-inch chuck. Still trying to figure out the use case for the right-angle impact driver. In addition to this set, I've also bought the 12v compact reciprocating saw, a pistol-style impact driver and the new auto hammer (which is amazing). Still looking to get the jigsaw (tool only). So, yeah, I am all-in on Skil 12v PWR CORE. If you want compact, light and reasonably powerful tools, at a very fair price, you can't do better than these.

I purchased this kit mainly for the Oscillating MultiTool. Amazon had a good deal on it and since it was still cheaper than buying a single Oscillating Tool it made sense to get this. I also used $20 in rewards so it was only $49 total. This tool has already paid for itself since I've used it for three DIY jobs around the house already. One thing I didn't realize I was going to use was the area light that it comes with. This light has come in pretty handy on a number of occasions. It's very bright and you can angle it different ways to get the light where you need it. A nice bonus I didn't expect.

They have great videos on what these tools can do, this is strictly my impressions on the Kit and what comes with it.Overall a great Value ( at $118)What you getthe cheap Standard charger($35 retail) which is a dumb retail price since the pwrjump is 39.992 2ah Standard batteries (only available in cheapest kits) the USB one retails for (29.88)Oscillating tool with 1 blade, Detail sander adapter and a few pads (59.99) Great toolArea light with 2 brightness modes. Useful if you don't have a bunch already and buy add on tools that come with batteries.Drill/driver Decent drill/driver, feels perfect in my medium sized hands.(not available in tool only)Blue tooth speaker (39.99): Cool form factor, tinny sound quality. not worth buying but a cool freebie.A good way to start off your collection if you plan to add on in the future. some tools are not available tool only (Hammer drill and jigsaw)so you will end up with a bunch of chargers and batteries but that's not really a bad thing since that will give you the Jump chargers and USB batteries.

For years, I've had the 18v dewalt cordless tools and they've served me well. I do various small handyman jobs. I finally decided it was time to upgrade my tools and wanted tools that weren't as large and bulky, being that I'm not building decks or houses. I have a friend who has 12v Milwaukee tools and, while I like them, they felt a little too small for the amount of power the new 12v tools put out and are also more costly, probably because you are paying for the name. I decided I wanted something smaller than my DeWalt tools but a little more substantial than the 12v Milwaukee tools. Skil fit the description perfectly and was a lot less expensive then the other options. Plus, I really needed and oscillating multitool, which this kit has. So far, I've had the tools for about three months and they have exceeded my expectations! My only small complaint is with the drill chuck. Several times I've had bits fall out while I'm using it. It's more difficult to get the chuck tight enough than it was with my DeWalt drill. I think that part of the reason is the chuck in the DeWalt is all metal but the plastic chuck on the skil is a little harder to keep from slipping in the hand while tightening. A nice feature of the chuck, though, is that if the bit that I'm using has a hex base, the drill chuck has a magnetic hole inside that fits hex bits and that really comes in handy so that the chuck doesn't even have to be tightened down. Very impressed with the multitool as well. My friend got the Milwaukee 12v multitool at the same time I got the Skil. Both of us noticed that the Milwaukee sounds a little rougher and more course in the gear box area while running. The Skil in comparison sounds "smoother" but cuts just as fast if not faster. The only thing I'd recommend is to buy a larger 4ah 12v battery if you are going to use the multitool much. It goes through the 2ah batteries quickly. Over all, very impressed with the kit and have recommended it to several family and friends.
