Great saw. Easy to handle. Smaller in size, but not in power. Weight is good. This saw can be used overhead for extended time.

Order this because I just needed a reciprocal saw for occasional use in the yard. Used it immediately to cut the stump of the Christmas Tree. Saw worked flawlessly and used the included blade. 20V so really powerful but low vibration compared to other higher end brands. Also has a nice 1-inch stroke. Really like the fact that it has a pivoting shoe and the ability to change blades quickly/easily. Can't beat the price for tool, battery and charger. Charger has rapid charge mode where it can charge battery to 25% in 5 minutes. This is a great feature for DIYer like me who often decides on a whim that I need to use this tool for a quick cut or two. Bonus use for the battery as it can be used to charge cellphone, computer, etc. Battery charged to full 2 months ago and packed away. Brought it out today to use and battery indicator shows 4 bars (full charge)! The only downside to this saw is the substantial weight of the tool, which shouldn't be a deal breaker for someone who uses this only occasionally.

Using for teimming and cutting smaller trees, limbs and downed trees. Up to 4 - 5 inches thick. Works faster than the chain saw and less debris, chips and dust when cutting. Nice clean cuts.Good for location work where we don't have power. Life if about 1/2 hour in use - pretty much the time I can go before needing to rest a bit.Worth buying as it works - at 20 below to 54 above zero. Nice with no electric cord to worry about with melting ice and snow.

Typically I only buy Bosch power tools but I did not want to go deep on this recip saw...so I was looking for a better price point. I shopped everywhere...then I turned to Amazon. A friend of mine has some Skil tools and he likes them so I gave it a try. It was a very nice price...half of what the big-box stored were offering. And it works just fine...as good as a higher priced tool. In fact it has some interesting features. You can use the battery pack to charge your cell phone...I would have liked that 2 weeks ago when the power went out during a cold snap! Also the charger has a fan to cool the battery and charger if/when it gets hot! Genius!!! So I am very pleased and I will look towards Skil for more tools in the future.

Been wanting this for awhile & the price got low enough, arrived quickly, tested it out after charging the battery which was fast. The build feels solid & durable, the motor sounds smooth, I pruned a Canary Palm, I cut with ease, very easy to use, it isn’t heavy but probably too heavy for elderly folks. So far I am very pleased.

Es sin duda una buena elección de mi compra, ya que está máquina me ha servido para cortar madera y polines de gran tamaño, ya que la sierra circular no llega, y cortarlo de una sola pasada es excelente, y tiene fuerza para cortar madera dura, con las hojas de sierra de calidad es aún mejor, corto hasta clavos con ello

Occasionally it doesn't come on when the trigger is activated. Lots of vibration at times also. Otherwise a good versitile saw.
