My high school daughter says: "I was really looking forward to using this water gun for senior tag, but unfortunately, it didn’t live up to expectations. The design looks cool and the water pressure is decent when it works, but the major issue is the constant leaking.Water starts dripping from this hole on top of the tank almost immediately after filling it, and after a few minutes, a good portion of the water has already leaked out before you even get to play. It’s frustrating, especially for kids who just want to enjoy a water fight without having to refill it."She eventually shelved this watergun and used another because it would leak all over her car. That may not be a facotr for those just playing a spontaneous outdoor water battle, but for her use case it wasn't practical. 3/5

I have tested 5 electronic squirt guns so far this year (looking for the best) and this is a good one but not the best. For this form factor (squirt gun rifle) I would recommend another Skirfy electronic squirt gun (Item model number SK-DDSQ2502-WH). It is very similar but has a significantly stronger squirt to it and currently cost less ($19.99 vs $23.99). In addition the other one has cool LEDs that light up on the side vs just on the end of the barrel. But back to this gun since this is a review of it. It still shoots up to 25 feet (that is how far I measured it) and it does a good job. One thing worth mentioning is the little silencer that goes on the end that lights up needs to be taken off and recharged separately and it can't be submerged. Why would you want to submerge the end of this gun? Well it has a feature that is actually pretty cool. If you remove the silencer from the end of the gun you can dunk the end into a bucket of water and then activate a pump to fill up the gun with water. All you have to do to fill the gun with water via the suck water out of a bucket method is:(1) stick the end into a bucket of water (again only after removing the non submersible silencer) then(2) push the trigger FORWARD (vs the typical pull back)(3) This will activate a pump and you will hear a continuous hum and it will suck water into the gun at a pretty good rate. I timed it and it takes 15 seconds to completely fill the gun from empty and thankfully the designers installed a fail safe so that you can't overfill it that also lets you know in a very obvious fashion the gun is full; there is a tiny hole on top of the fill cap and when the gun is completely full and if you are still holding the trigger forward an impressive stream of water will shoot out the top. This overfill indicator is quite funny to see the first time you encounter it and makes a nice surprise for anyone who doesn't know about it.For anyone wondering though, it actually is faster to fill it up from a faucet (it took only 5 seconds under a faucet) but that isn't nearly as cool as sucking up water with the gun from a bucket and if you are outside a faucet isn't always handy; while you can take a bucket of water anywhere. And it is also worth mentioning I tested this feature multiple times and it worked easily every single time.So overall it is a fine squirt gun and the ability to refill the gun by dunking the end into a bucker of water is useful and amusing but as I said I think the other Skirfy gun (model number SK-DDSQ2502-WH) is a better choice [(it has a significantly stronger squirt of water per shot and a quick change battery (vs this one where the battery is behind a cover on the side of the stock that you have to unscrew with 2 screws)] but this squirt gun is still decent. Hope that helps.

Pros: not too loud (MUCH quieter than X-Shot electric water guns!); the self filling works easily and quickly, with overflow prevention; the light attachment is extra fun for nighttime play; the water stream doesn't shoot so hard that it hurts kids to shoot at each other.Cons: two hour charge time for 15 minutes of play, it would be great if it charged faster or play time was extended; the battery clip can be tricky to detach; the light attachment has to be removed to use the autofill; directions dont specify that you need to hold down the power button on the light in order to turn it on (don't do it facing you, the lights are very bright!)Despite the cons, it's a really fun water gun for kids and adults and a great value for the money. Considering purchasing a 2nd!

This squirt gun is a lot of fun.First of all, it's a good design. The grip fits well in the hand, and even full of water it's not too heavy. I was able to run through multiple refills on a single battery charge as well, so I can say the battery life is pretty good, which is kind of important for an electric squirt gun. I LOVE the fact that I can refill it just by submerging the barrel and pushing the trigger forward. It's a really cool feature that I wish squirt guns had when I was growing up.The squirt gun has a light that flashes when you fire to simulate muzzle flash. It's not needed, but it's a nice touch. I really like how the top slide moves when it fires. The movement adds a touch of realism to it.The squirt gun says it can spray up to 23ft, but realistically the range is about 15ft. Beyond that you can get an arc of water to go where you want it to, but a direct stream is out of the question at that range. Pretty good power for a squirt gun of this size.I would say that this was a good value for the money, and I'm happy with my purchase.
