Over 100 Years of Quality
SKS is a quality manufacturer in the bicycle industry, we have been keeping bikes rolling for over 100 years.
Our history began in 1921 when Karl Scheffer-Klute of Sundern, Germany began manufacturing curtain rods. His company was purchased in 1932 by Wilhelm Blome, who also purchased a tire inflator company, which inspired him to begin manufacturing metal pumps.
SKS is now known as a pump and bicycle fender manufacturer, along with accessories for your bike, including bike pumps, fenders, bags, tools, digital pressure gauges, bottle cages, cage adapters, and even phone holders.
SKS items are still designed and manufactured in Sundern, Germany. We will continue to innovate and manufacture the highest quality cycling accessories for years to come.
The Future is Orange
SKS Germany employs 400 people at our bicycle HQ in Sundern, and over 700 employees across our three combined divisions.
43% of our bicycle business is through aftermarket product sales while 32% is OEM product.
Annually, SKS Germany produces:
- 4.5 million full fenders
- 2 million clip-on fenders
- 1.2 million bicycle pumps
This totals over 18,000 fenders per day and 3,200 pumps per day!
Revamping the classics
In 2022 the SKS full fender line was renewed. The classic Chromoplastic Longboard and Commuter II full fenders were replaced with the new Bluemels and Bluemels Style fenders.
Both models are made using the same chromoplastic fender material. But, the Bluemels now come with black hardware and are available in more sizes than before.
The Bluemels Style fenders feature a square profile design, double U Stay technology, a matte black finish, and come with a sleek, flexible spoiler on the front and rear fender.
SKS Germany continues to be a leader in clip-on fender options as well.

Do exactly what you expect them to do. It’s very easy to lose these whilst trying to put them in place so great that there’s someone supplying spares.

Nearly impossible to find the specialty hardware to mount fenders at any hardware store and even a lot of bike shops. Hate having to spend so much to replace a single missing piece, but at least now I have plenty of spares and can carry a couple with me for emergency repairs.

Like sheep lost in the woods, I neglected to tighten my fender bolts enough to secure them properly and thusly, I did not realize the consequence of my foolishness until too late!I feared that I was forever doomed to be shackled to a bicycle cursing me with rain water onto my weary back, a bicycle that would haunt me with its deafening fender rattle! I could feel dark and stormy clouds crowding over my rides, threatening to condemn me to indoor training...But Lo! From the clouds a ray of light so bright I was momentarily blinded by its radiance! And from this beam descended a neatly packaged Amazon box with my name written on it! And from this box What divine fortune!Thank the Lord in Heaven for SKS Eybolt and Nut Bicycle Fender Replacement Hardware Set - 6011!

This is exactly what I needed... I have the SKS fenders which don't come with extra parts... After I ordered these I made sure to tighten all the pieces up... I cycle to commute to work 8 or 10 miles daily... I haven't had a single issue since..
