It's a nice little filter for something like a (single) Betta tank or shrimp tank but I'll have to say it's definitely too small for a 10 gallon IMO. The size does mean your Betta (I recommend min. 5gal for one) won't have to fight any currents, and it's nice to have the option of adding carbon to this lil thing, but other than that I think I'll ultimately stick to sponge filters for my boys and use this when I have to filter out things (like medication after finished treatment).

This is the perfect size for smaller aquariums. It's quiet, filters nicely, and won't disturb or stress sensitive fish such as bettas.
