Note the odd DB50 pin order on the screw connectors. I eventually got frustrated with this one and ordered a different one having pins in numerical order on the screw connectors.Screw connectors work as expected. Quality is ok. Just weird pinning.

The only thing I don't like is that the metal portion of the connector is not affixed to the rest of the unit. If you remove the screws then it comes off. I ended up using super glue so I could use it with a mating connector on a device.

I like this product a lot since i am rewiring a Scorbot arm. It makes upgrading it very easy with the provided pinnout and datasheet online. All connections so far have worked as intended. Would recommend to anyone looking to use this type of connector. It gets old soldering after awhile.

The traces are clean and the solder joints are solid. The connector plug smoothly into the port so the dimension is also good. Sometimes depends on manufacturer there would be minor problem like connection problem, but this one seems a pretty good breakout board.

Using it with a Keithley Instruments Inc. 7164 20-Channel Scanner Card. Nice solution for testing.

Could not find this at any electronics store in my area, good price, good product, exactly what I needed to break out a DB-50 into screw terminals for a specialized application

Works perfectly well, and the price is very reasonable. I bought a few of these because my company was taking forever to buy the ones I originally ordered (procurement issues). They were delivered promptly. The design is pretty good but they require some standoffs to keep them off the surface of whatever you're mounting them to. Not a big deal, since you probably know how to get (or have) standoffs if you're using equipment like this. The pins for the connector and the terminal strips stick out of the bottom of the board, where they are soldered, and would short out on anything conductive in nature. You need the tiny screwdriver for the clamping, but again, you probably already have those. The unit only has three mounting holes, as opposed to the usual four of similar products. But they placed two of them on the end with the connector so they focused the majority of the support on the end that will get most of the applied forces. So that was well thought out.The units are structurally sound and electrical connectivity is good as well. The side connector helps with vertical clearance issues but you'll need to have access from the side for the typical bulky connector that mates with the unit. The quality of the metal seems decent, and on par with similar devices. I'll be using them in a development lab so no harsh environmental conditions to worry about. If I need more, I will buy more of these. No reason I can see not to.
