Update 04/19/25: I want to note that my earlier original review below is actually for the Reemix Ice Crusher Model BH9269 which is red and white and made out of plastic, not the ice crusher that is shown in the posting now.Original review: Simple materials and design pretty much make this a no brainer to operate! Simply remove the clear lid/top, fill the chamber with ice being a little careful of the sharp blade in the front of that chamber, put the lid/top back on and twist it slightly counterclockwise to lock and start the ice automatically being slusheed! When there's enough ice for your beverage, simply turn the lid/top clockwise slightly and the machine automatically stops. Don't even need to press a button or anything. It's so simple! I didn't think to measure the ice as I was putting it in, but I'm guesstimating that the machine holds about 1 1/2 cups of ice at a time, could be slightly more. It is fairly loud but not crazy loud. I didn't end up with any water that dripped during or after the fact, but I am getting a lipped silicone mat to put underneath these in an abundance of caution.I actually used a large, wide-mouthed mug and held it up closer to the ice chute than one of the included sno cone holders would reach, and it turned out perfectly; the ice went into the mug and stayed there, though it was a little awkward turning the large mug so that the ice didn't overflow on one side.Anyway, kids will love the sno cone holders. I wanted MORE so used the larger mug. :)

Fun addition to my kitchen appliances. My kids have wanted one of these for a while. It is easy to load the ice & replace the lid, but be ready because it starts when the lid is fully on. When it is shaving the ice, it does make a small ice mess, but easily cleanable. It is louder than I thought. The top doesn't have a vacuuming effect to pull the ice downward, so some ice just keeps going around & around.

It isn't perfect snow, but it is a fine crushed ice. It was good, but like with crushed ice versus snow, the juice settles more at the bottom. If you want a snow, you'd be better with the KitchenAid attachment with the fine blade that shaves a block of ice (which is how they do it at Pelican's Snow Cones). This is good if you want to use regular ice cubes and have a quick, easy treat with little to no ahead preparation. For the KitchenAid and other shaved ice machines, you'll have to freeze a few blocks of ice. So, they're both good but for different things. This one is pretty simple for my kids to use and make a few by themselves. There's virtually no clean up and we set it upside down in the drying rack to let it dry. It has a really pretty red and white finish. I like that it had reusable snow cones! They are hard and not easily breakable, at least not from holding them and using them as is. They too are easy to clean, and it saves me from having to purchase paper cups endlessly! Plus it's better for the environment in that it creates less waste. It's a fun summer or warm spring day activity for kids! It just won't be snow if that's what you're expecting.

I've never had a kitchen product of this sort, but I definitely wanted to give it a try - not that winter is the most ideal time to be testing snowcones (haha). It obviously doesn't have its own ice - which one wouldn't expect for the cost - but I have an ice maker, and I'm ready to go.It does shave the ice well - it certainly isn't silent, but not noisier than I would expect for the function it is doing. Using it is pretty easy - almost intuitive. Ice goes in - it's on - shaved ice comes out. Consistency was nice for a snow cone - though mine basically froze back together again. What I would expect in winter (haha again). I already had some flavour syrups here, and it was the right consistency for the ice to absorb the flavour well. So overall, pretty happy, even if I will still be waiting a couple months before I really put this to proper use.

I got this eyeshare, fully expecting it to be a cheap joke. To my surprise, it actually shaves the eyes very well, and it's extremely simple to use. I have made several snow cones for my children already and would feel totally comfortable with them using it. The ice shavings are. Just like I remember from their trucks as a kid and clean up on this item was extremely easy. I love how it comes with reusable cone cuts. I recommend holding b the concup, as you're shaving, so that you can turn it in a circle to get a uniform shape to your snow cone. Only downside is that it does make a little bit of a mess, because it shoots ice everywhere. I simply put a cookie sheet underneath of it.And then dumped it when finished.

Nice little simple snow cone slushy type drink maker. It doesn’t require too much. It’s easy to use. I would say kid friendly as well. Like if you’re using it as a family it’s just a little button and go. The instructions are easy to follow everything is simple. There’s not too much to say about this product. It works. It gets the job done it’s easy to clean in my opinion. it comes with these reusable cone cup type things so that’s a plus I recommend freezing some juice into ice cube trays and then shaving it. That makes easy snow cone type things without syrup just a plus.

This slushy machine is great! Simple to use and easy to keep clean. This makes snow cone type ice but does a good job. Great for kids! Worth the value for a nice little treat!
