This matt fits right over the existing tailgate plastic cover that is installed at the factory. Fit is really good and as long as you heat it up prior to installation to get the folds from shipping out, you should have no problems. Adhesive feels like it should be permanent, but only time will tell. Grip is good and the only con I see is it does not let objects slide that good into the bed from the gate given it's more rubbery/tacky grip surface.

The mat has a rubber-like feel and is designed to be an overlay on the factory poly tailgate liner. It has a carbon fiber texture like finish, is slip resistant, easy to clean, and should be easier on the knees when climbing onto the bed. This arrived folded which causes some serious creasing. Instructions recommend hot water or heat gun and work it flat. I will try to do so, however 25 degree weather it will need to be an indoor project. The installation process includes double-stick tape so making it nice and flat prior to instal is needed.
