Works great for light bench work on firearms, I would recommend for such tasks.

This little hammer is of remarkably good quality for the price. It is small for a reason and the weight seems to be spot on for its purpose

Item was as described, and was shipped complete. I checked it out and put it in my gun cleaning kit right away. Very pleased.

I bought this hammer after going down the Amazon rabbit-hole from originally looking to replace my Wheeler 1" Nylon/Brass hammer (ASIN B004LB7ZU2). The nylon head of that hammer had disintegrated and unfortunately their heads were not replaceable. This hammer, which I was fixed on the fact it came with two sets of replaceable Nylon/rubber ends, was only $8 and looked identical to the Wheeler, so it had to be the obvious cost effective replacement. Yes it didn't have the brass side, but i would use the busted wheeler hammer for that side only. The part I failed to notice was the type of work it recommend - jewelry. The frame of the hammer is lightweight (5 oz) compared to the Wheeler (8oz), which makes sense for jewelry. If you need a heavy hammer with a nylon end, this isn't it. But I see the allure using it for light work. But that begs the question as to why you actually need another set of ends if you are only doing light work. If you use the hammer to move stuck objects, then yes you may damage the ends, however the frame is not weighted enough to make this a viable tool for that job. You use a teaspoon to move small sized piles. You use a shovel to move larger sized piles, even though you could move it with a teaspoon. This hammer is the teaspoon.Quality appears to be fine enough for $8 so I'm keeping it, but I'm probably going to have to buy another Wheeler hammer for my actual need of that hammer.

I got my hammer today for the money I’d say it’s decent and will get the job done. However the hole for the hammer head on one side is not centered which leaves a sharp edge so if you had to be close to something it may scratch the object. Also the handle was torn just like a piece about 1/4 inch along the top. This is just a sample of one so it may just be a fluke. Other than that the heads feel to be similar with the black head being barely harder. In conclusion if you want something to be perfect I’d say spend a little more money but if your like me and will probably rarely use it and don’t care if it’s not perfect then this is your hammer.

If you’re looking for something to drive tent stakes, keep looking. It’s an eight dollar hammer. I bought mine, to occasionally adjust some gun sights. Very occasionally. For that purpose, it’s fine. If you need a hammer for heavier use, or to make your living with it, this isn’t the hammer for you. I gave it 5 stars, because I understand it’s limitations and don’t expect any more out of it. It does come with extra hammer faces, which is nice. Again, if you don’t expect too much out of it, you’ll be happy with it.

La calidad es excelente , solo que el tamaño si fue un poco más pequeño de lo que esperaba , pero funciona muy bien

(EDIT ~2 years after purchase: 'The little hammer that could'. It's helped assemble a few AR receivers. Whacked several stubborn roll pins into submission. Tapped in oodles of well-behaved roll pins, too. It's never marred anything and the brass tip is hard enough for 'serious' work, while still soft enough that it won't damage Al receivers if (God forbid) you make a mistake.Threadlocker (blue only) makes the difference between tips that come loose or a solid & functional tool.As it turns out, my concern RE: its rather small size/weight was unwarranted. You don't need or want a 16oz hammer to work on guns - the little hammer is perfectly sized and has plenty of heft to do gunsmithy stuff.I'd gladly buy the same little hammer all over again.)A very nice little hammer for the cost. It is smaller than I expected, but I didn't perform my due diligence in confirming it's size prior to purchase. It will definitely do the job. Two minor issues:1). Some people note that the tips can back out, unscrewing from the hammer itself. Blue-colored Loctite or other brands of threadlocker will prevent the unscrewing tips from driving the user nuts.2). The tips are steel, brass, rubber, and nylon. The rubber and nylon are practically indistinguishable from one another, and are UNLABELED.I am happy w/ it, and look forward to using many times.
