This product from ZHENYANGLOW is a multi-application, retro-looking, Edison-base lamp socket/fixture. The metal components feature a knurled, brushed/aged bronze look evoking a 1920’s aesthetic. It appears you can deploy it one of several ways:(1) As it comes prefitted with a US-style power cord with integral switch/dimmer, you can set it on a tabletop and screw in a bulb. Aesthetically, this can be a bit harsh on the eyes as there is no shade, but there are a number of interesting novelty bulbs (“infinity” bulbs, flame bulbs, neon flickers, etc) that could be installed and used to good effect.(2) The rear of the base features a key-hole mounting hole, so the fixture could be hung from a screw or nail in the wall. Again, you utilize the attached cord and dimmer to operate it. This is depicted in once of the promotional photos on the web page.(3) The cord can be removed and the fixture permanently mounted to a junction box in the ceiling.A threaded ring near the open end of the socket can be unscrewed and, if available, a suitable glass shade could be installed. In fact, I ordered and received an “antique” hanging light fixture with a glass shade from a different vendor on Amazon, and the socket in that product is identical to the socket used in this product. No doubt that glass shade would fit.

I had a huge light bulb, about 12 inches high and maybe 6 wide. I’d no place to put it. I finally saw this, ordered it, and it’s perfect. It has a standard E26 fixture. It’s solid, with enough weight to easily hold my giant light bulb vertically.Though not a complicated piece, it looks really awesome! It is not just a base, it adds to the overall look. It’s a well designed product that is versatile and durable.

It is a simple, minimalistic lamp holder where the socket is brass colored. It does its job of taking a bulb and allowing it to be turned on or off as well as using the dimmer. I am disappointed that the pictures suggest you can have the dimmer close to the light. That is not possible without cutting off the molded plug, turning around the wire and purchasing a new plug. Out of the box, you can only have the dimmer close to the plug. That limits the flexibility of where to install the light.

It works just as it should. My light bulb was not dimmable, so I don’t know how a dimmable light would work. There’s no light switch; just a dimmer nob to turn to turn the light on and off by turning the nob. The nob is about two feet away from the base, which might make it hard to reach if you’re planning on hanging this from the ceiling. It worked for me though because I plugged it into an outlet that’s connected to a wall switch. So I leave the nob on “on/high” position all the time and just switch the light on and off from the wall switch.

This is a very attractive lamp base I'm using with a remote switch at the top of a book case for reflected light off the ceiling. It's just as advertised except for one thing. It comes with a 20 ft. cord which is an outstanding feature, and they don't even mention it.

This is a review for the Small Chandelier Base, Plug dimming Cable Length 570 cm, Suitable for corridors, Walls, farmhouses, Halls and Other E26-E27 lamp Holders. 23 April 2025I am impressed by the construction of this lamp base. It looks and feels very sturdy. I was pleased with the extra length cord and the dimmer which worked with my dimmable LED bulbs
