I ordered this bag for my husband to use. He really likes it. Although he does not fish often, he does help with rescue and other activities. He loves the smaller size than a standard backpack. The bag has quite a few great locations to attach D-rings so that he can attach all types of items that he likes to keep handy. The side pocket is the perfect size for a standard drinking bottle or a coffee travel mug.The side handle makes it convenient to carry the bag when not wearing it.The bag is not only water repellent, but also dog slobber repellant. The surface is easy to clean by simply wiping it down with a cloth or cleaning wipe. The bag stayed in place even as he bent or leaned down to pet the dog or work with him. He was also able to move the bag to a front carry position. The bag is made from a durable nylon, with sturdy zippers. Unfortunately, all the “hardware” on the bag is made from plastic. The plastic has held up so far, but it is clear these will be the weak points in the bag.

I have been out with this bag a few times now and overall it is a good choice. Cons first...a) I kinda wish they would have stuck with the same more slipper canvas type material for the entire bag - the mesh that is on the back - while I understand the choice to put it there - is a terrible hook magnet... Since this is intended to be a fishing bag you need to keep things like that in mind. If a hook comes anywhere near it it gets embedded and you pretty much have to rip it out.b) "rod holder" portion is rotten. I have tried putting a collapsible rod in there or the last time I tried just putting my shoreline rod holders in there - either way, the "pocket" is too small and the strap at the top too whimsical. It does not securely hold your item in place....it is really a bottle holder pocket that they have just recategorized.Prosa) Convenient. When I go fishing you need to park and trek to the area. I've got a dog in one hand and a couple poles in the other - being able to just toss this on and have it out of the way on your back is great.b) two large deep pockets and one smaller slim one make it easy to separate what you bring. You *will need your own organizers for inside the pockets tho - otherwise everything is just a pile of a mess and naught but an irritating time will you have trying to get things out - or detangled - unstuck, etc.c) also include a handle. You aren't always trekking about when you need to move this bag and I find the handle on the side to be a nice feature. In the end this is just a small sling bag that works well to carry a few items with you when you are heading out for a bit of relaxation on the shore. If I were in a boat I would not use this and instead the conventional tackle box. Since it serves the purpose I am asking out of it I am happy with the product.Packaging when you get it is non-existant. Comes in a little flimsy plastic bag inside of an Amazon box.

I really enjoy hiking in to my favorite fishing spots and this tackle bag is perfect! The fit is fully adjustable and holds the bag snug and close to your body so it doesn't get snagged or hung up on anything. It's very comfortable and breathable so you don't end up with a hot sweaty patch on your back either. The build is impressively high quality for the price and the fabric resists snags pretty well.In terms of space and organization it's pretty functional. It's a smaller bag so you're not going to fit as much as a tackle box but it's way more than enough to hold everything you need. I was able to fit a days worth of hooks, bobbers, sinkers, lures, soft baits, line, pliers etc, and even a fish scale and it was completely comfortable. The individual zippered compartments also have organizing pockets and sleeves to make sure nothing slides around when you're walking.Over all this is a very effective tackle bag!

My 14 yr old is really into fishing and hates carrying his giant tackle box when hiking into creeks and down the River bed. He has been using an old backpack, but the problem is it’s basically one giant open sack, so everything is just thrown in there and it becomes a giant mess. I stumbled upon this while looking for fishing related items for his birthday and honestly, I didn’t know something quite like this existed. I have seen a soft-sided tackle box that has a shoulder strap, but I’ve never seen one that could be used on the waist or slung around the shoulders quite like this. It just arrived and straight out of the box, I’m highly impressed! It has a very good amount of capacity, but my favorite part is that the total width of the piece is divided into two separate sections. 1 section has net pockets and the other has a solid sleeve pocket. This means that you can find items much more quickly versus just one open area. It also has a number of loops on the exterior to attach various products to and the water bottle holder holds a large/ tall 32oz water bottle. It actually holds his water bottle better than his school backpack does! The straps around the waist and around the shoulder are easily adjustable for a full size man or a teen boy. The materials for the loops and the straps is very sturdy and durable. The zippers are one of my favorite features. They’re thick zippers that glide easily and my favorite part is they are double zippers- meaning you don’t have to go from one end to the next to open the compartment. You can put the zippers in the middle for quick access. I’m excited to try this out this weekend. I’m sure it’ll get years of use and I know when my husband sees it tonight he’s going to want one for himself! I would pay the full price for this.
