Does job, the ones I’ve checked are accurate. Having this wide set makes trying different thicknesses easy when working out a problem.

good range in size(thickness) for whatever needs come up. I used .010" to shim up a slow speed axle.

This product was perfect for what I needed it for. I had two metal parts (1 fixed, 1 sliding) and it helped me secure the fixed part perfectly in the frame that holds it, and tightens up the overall feel of my tool. No more clanking metal.

Hesitated buying this for a long time because it seems expensive for sheets of plastic, but you get quite a lot and I doubt I will run out for years. Tons of uses for setup and measuring, doesn't crush or soak up oil/water or bend/crease as easily as paper shims do, resists many glues, won't corrode, easy to cut with scissors. I cut a couple 3/4" x 2.5" tabs out of each sheet, labeled them with marker. Basically like having "loose" feeler gauges in any size, shape and quantity you want. Absolutely worth the cost.

This set has many uses in my wood shop, from 1) checking flat under a straightedge (use the 0.0005” shim!) to 2) estimating how many stop shavings will be needed to remove wind in a board (the 0.001” through 0.005” or so shims, with winding sticks) to 3) fine-tuning a 3/8” thick wood shim to cut a bandsaw tenon (the 0.030”).I took a while to drop the dollars on these, but they have opened up a new level of ease and precision in the shop.
