For the price this is a good tripod (especially at the current $26.99 sale price). I own a lot of Smallrig products and all of them offer good value. That being said, I won't be using this with my cameras. If you have a small camera or are using it with a phone it will be perfect. I've tried it out, but wouldn't trust this with my mirrorless and trinity or fast primes. While it did hold them, I stood close just in case. I'll relegate this for my microphone setups, GoPro, recorders, etc.I have bigger and heavier tripods for my camera work, but this will be nice to carry for the aforementioned uses as it will save a lot of weight when I have to hike to a location.Overall I would recommend if you use a smaller camera or phone.

I really like this tripod. It has all the features I want. It comes in a bag that has a shoulder strap like a backpack. It also has an attachment for my phone, or a regular DSLR camera. There are areas that I can adjust all over it and it gets over 6 feet tall. It also seems sturdy and has a built in level so you can see if you have things set up right. One of the handles has a soft foam gripper which is surprisingly nice to have. It is easy to use and fairly intuitive to set up. Even down to the feet that can swivel for balance this tripod does it all. I am really happy with it.

A well constructed tripod that could be described as general purpose, suitable for all types of photography, stills or movie. The materials are solid and well put together with handles and controls of sufficient size to allow larger hands or fingers to control them easily. The legs are stable even at the maximum extension with the central core extended. The pan and tilt mechanisms work smoothly and almost feel like they are fluid damped (even though I don't think they are). Clamps all turn consistently and are secure when tightened. The bottom of the legs at the feet are encased in little shoes that take the angle of the ground surface they are sitting on, ensuring as much stability as possible. I cant see any option to fit spikes for areas like grass but maybe there is a third party attachment that could work? This is a tripod that you can use for most scenarios are it will do the job, maybe not like one costing several times more but for a general purpose tripod this is a good choice in my opinion. The only downside I personally feel for the tripod is that it is a bit long when fully retracted (20.9"). This feels a little long to me although the weight is very light. But of course this extra length results in the tripod having a maximum height of 63.4" which is a positive so its a trade off I guess. The tripod also comes with a phone attachment and a carry case.In summary this is a very good tripod for a budget price.Highly Recommended

I picked up this tripod for some casual vlogging and mobile photography, and it's been a solid performer. It's lightweight and compact, so I can toss it in my bag without it taking up too much space. The quick-release plate is super handy for switching between my phone and camera, and I love how easy it is to switch between horizontal and vertical shooting modes. The build feels sturdy enough for my needs, and the height adjustment is smooth. I’ve used it for a few outdoor shoots, and it’s held up well. If you're looking for an affordable tripod that gets the job done without any frills, this one’s a good pick.

This is a decent tripod for light weight duty. It has all the functionality you would expect with full range of motion and adjustability in height and direction and angle. The extendable legs function well and lock into place. All of the other adjustments work smoothly and hold everything in place for a nice photo or video. I mounted my full frame camera on it and it holds it, but you can tell it's not too happy with that. I've opted to use this for a smaller/lighter video camera setup and it's working GREAT.I am a fan of the smallrig products and own quite a few other smallrig items. The quality for my other items has been spot on and I'm generally very happy with each of them. There was a little issue with this one though. The spring that applies tension to the release lever for the camera mount was providing tension in the wrong direction. So instead of the lever wanting to spring towards being closed, it would spring open. After removing the screw and inspecting the spring, you could see that it was warped and not applying the intended pressure. I put one end of the spring in the vice and gripped the other end with a pair of pliers and twisted until the spring was more tightly wound and the endpoints were closer together. (hard to explain... the picture I've included is of the spring after I made the adjustment... where the pin piece is at 12 o clock and the lever piece is at 3 o clock. Before I twisted this spring, the lever piece was closer to 6 o'clock and forcing the latch open.) After re-bending and re-installing, everything is working OK. I'm not sure how long this will last, but I'm expecting that I'll have to do this again in the future.Overall, I'm happy with this tripod.

When I ordered this tripod I was just expecting some normal tripod that you get these days. What I wasn't expecting was just how awesome this tripod is!The build quality on this tripod is awesome! I'm super loving the square legs as opposed to the standard round legs. For some reason this makes it easier to carry for me. The feet of the legs move in a manner that allows perfect stability as well. I like the clasps on each section of the legs which helps me get the perfect height I need. What I love even more is the added height adjustment at the top of the tripod. Now I can quickly crank my camera up or down to the height that I need based on the shot I need!Unlike my tripod I just replaced, this tripod actually allows me to tilt my camera to the side for those side-shots. And I don't even have to remove the camera from the tripod to do so! I'm also loving how the tripod has a quick release as well so now I no longer have to keep screwing and unscrewing my dslr to my tripod! All in all, this tripod is purely amazing and I'm just having an absolute blast with it. It works well, it's built well, and it functions well! I'm super happy with this tripod and wished I'd have gotten it sooner!!f
