I was super excited about getting this water monitor for one of my aquariums. I decided I would use it on the aquarium I have in my living room with angel fish and Gourami's in it. A devise like this that can show you in an easy and simple manner what your many water parameters are at any given time is an awesome devise for us fish owners to have. It is definitely something we would want to have. It is time consuming and expensive to check all the things that this water monitor devise claims to check for you. When I opened the box up it had all the pieces you see in the listing pictures. There are basically two main pieces. You have the part that goes in the aquarium water and that stays in the water and then the monitor itself. It comes with the necessary pieces to hang them up as well such as suction scups. When I saw the monitor though, the first thing I thought of was how 80's it looked. It is a pretty lame looking device. For the cost of this you would think they would do a better job with the looks of it. It wasn't what you would expect something like this to look in 2025. It didn't even look real but some lame kid's toy. The part that goes in the water was a bit strange looking too and probably could have been smaller. So, the design for this is pretty bad. But if it does what it says it does then I am still on board. It came with a manual that I would have definitely needed. And the first thing you do is get the app. If you have an android phone, you go to the play store and install the Tuya Smart app. I remember I had this once before for something so it is the kind of app that can have multiple devices on it that you manage. After installing it you need to then pair the water monitor to your phone. You will need the 2.4ghz and not the 5ghz that most people have these days. Since, I ran into this issue before with other devices I had already switched my internet speed over to the 2.4 and then tried to pair the device. I say try because no matter how many times I tried and how many times I rechecked my internet speed I could not get the two to pair. It can be very frustrating when this happens. I am still trying to figure it out.I looked through the manual at what the next steps would be to see if I could do any of them. The manual has all the steps necessary for you that you will need to do to get this water monitor working. And there are several things you will need to do. It is going to be time consuming but for the cost you paid for it and all that it claims to do for you it would be worth it in the end in my opinion. But it still is a pain no matter how you look at it. It comes with several ph solution packets. I believe there were six in total. But I think you use just three of them to get the ph calibrated. I am a little confused by a statement made in the manual because as you read along in a different place it says it is already calibrated before it goes in the box and up for sale. So, you don't need to. But then you have those necessary steps they have you take in the beginning to get it calibrated in order for it to work. So, just a bit confusing there. After the ph is calibrated, you then go on to set the others such as the salinity if you have a saltwater tank and things such as the temperature of your water. And all the other things you set in the beginning. As of right now I haven't been able to see how well the device actually works with the device in the water and paired with the monitor and my phone. You have to have the app on some device such as your phone or tablet in order to see what the water parameters are in your tank. I think it's great a company finally caught up with the technology for checking aquarium water. I think the idea is great and it would be a lot of help, time saving, and it will save you money in the long run. And you won't have to worry so much! I love this idea. If only I can get it working. There is a lot you have to do to set it up and that is never fun. And then the problem with wifi not pairing. So many things that can go wrong. And I noticed on the listing they say nothing about an app or needing 2.4ghz internet speed. The looks of it are terrible as well. I think even if it worked well, it wouldn't be worth the asking price of it. Not as it is. They need to work on some things. But I am glad they finally have something like this for us fish owners.

I’ve been using this smart aquarium water monitor for a few weeks now, and I’ve got mixed feelings—but overall, I’m glad I picked it up. It’s packed with features, but I’ll be honest, the setup wasn’t exactly a walk in the park.Right out of the box, it looks pretty sleek and well-made. It promises a lot—salinity, pH, ORP, TDS, EC, and temp readings, all in one unit. For someone like me who likes to keep both freshwater and saltwater tanks, that’s a dream. And yeah, once it’s up and running, it does deliver.✅ Real-time monitoring is super handy – I get instant updates to my phone, and that’s saved me more than once when parameters started creeping out of range.✅ Covers a ton of water parameters – No need for separate meters. This one unit does it all.✅ Good build quality – Feels durable and the probes don’t seem cheap.✅ Works with both freshwater and saltwater – That flexibility is huge for me.Now, on to the parts that weren’t so great...❌ Setup was kind of a headache – The app didn’t walk me through things clearly, and connecting to WiFi took way longer than it should have.❌ Calibration was really confusing – Honestly, if you’re not familiar with how calibration works for things like pH or EC, you’ll probably be frustrated. The instructions felt vague, and I had to hunt down a couple of videos to figure it out.❌ App could use a bit of polish – It works, but it’s not super intuitive, and some of the labels or data layouts are a little clunky. That said, now that it’s all set up and dialed in, it’s been working great. I love not having to constantly check levels manually or worry about sudden shifts. Just be prepared to wrestle with it a bit during setup—especially the calibration part. If you’re tech-savvy or patient, it’s worth it.

Adding this Smart Aquarium Water Monitor to my tank setup was one of the best decisions I’ve made for my fish’s health and my own peace of mind. From the moment I connected it, the real-time tracking of pH, salinity, temperature, and more has been incredibly reassuring. The app setup was smooth, and I love that I can set custom ranges for each parameter — if anything drifts out of the safe zone, I get an instant alert right on my phone. It’s like having a personal water quality expert on call 24/7.Installation was refreshingly simple too. With the option to fix it in place, use suction cups, or let it float, it fit my tank setup perfectly without any ugly clutter. The upgraded, smaller probe is another big win — it’s unobtrusive, way more accurate than older models I’ve tried, and the titanium-coated electrodes are super easy to maintain with just a quick rinse each month. You can tell a lot of thought went into making this both effective and user-friendly.What really impressed me was the insight into ORP (oxidation-reduction potential) and its impact on ammonia and nitrite levels. Before, I didn’t realize how much ORP could influence the overall toxicity in my tank. Now, with constant monitoring, I can keep harmful spikes in ammonia and nitrites under control before they ever become a problem. It’s helped me create a healthier, more stable environment for my fish — and honestly, it’s made tank maintenance way less stressful. The lab-grade accuracy across all measurements really sets this monitor apart. Whether you have a freshwater or saltwater setup, or even a hydroponic system, this device delivers trustworthy, precise readings every time. Between the excellent calibration system and the high-quality build, I feel like I’ve leveled up my entire aquarium care routine. This monitor is a total game-changer for anyone who wants to take the guesswork out of aquarium management!
