Since I use a dedicated calorie counting app, I'm not really interested in this scale for its "smart" features. It would be annoying to weigh ten ounces of melon or whatever and have the two apps disagree on the breakdown, so I got this just because it looks like a quality kitchen scale, and will be reviewing it as such. The scale is, as far as I can tell, fairly accurate. I didn't have anything with an extremely precise known weight to measure, but it seemed to handle water well enough. Unfortunately, the readout isn't in the best position. This is best used for measuring out ingredients, and if you want to use it for meals, you'll take to have a dedicated saucer you use with the scale; if you try to measure things on a dinner plate, and way you have to position it to weigh things properly will cover the display.

This scale is easy to set up and works very well. Fairly straightforward to link to the app on your phone and measurements are quite accurate.

The display of this kitchen scale is really clear and angled so that if you're using a large item on the weighing plate you can still see it. The granularity of measurement is 0.1g and it can go up to 5kg.When you power it on with the button the right (your right) it will take a moment to zero and once the display shows 0 away you go. If you're adding stuff to a container you can put the empty container on the plate and press the button on the right to zero the measurement before adding the stuff you actually want to weigh. The button on the left lets you choose different units and cycles between g -> ml -> oz -> lb:oz -> fl oz. The scale will remember the last unit you used across if you power it off and back on again.A long press of the button on the right will switch the scale off but it will also timeout after a while if you don't use it to save battery. The scale is powered by 3 AAA batteries (provided) so it's easy to find replacements. There are 4 rubber grommets surrounding the weighing plate when you get it. You'll need to remove these to start using the scale. The silver and black design is attractive in pretty much any setting.

Pros:Slim, modern look that will perfectly complement any kitchen. The tilted display is easy to read even with full sized bowls on the plate.Accurate measurements, perfect for portion control where accuracy is critical.Converts between units easily with a quick press of the button.App syncs with health apps like Fitbit to track calories and nutrients.App:While the app has great features like nutrition tracking and fitness app syncing, it currently doesn't support a UK food database. This is a bit restrictive for UK users when trying to find local food products.Verdict:This is not only a trendy scale but also very easy to use, making it well suited to meal prep, weight management, and everyday use in the kitchen. The accompanying app is a bonus, albeit one that currently requires a wider UK food database. Overall, it's a great choice for anyone looking for an easy to use, convenient way of keeping track of ingredients and portion size.

This nutritional scale by Atogou is great for those who like to cook in bulk at the beginning of the week to meal prep. In the past, I've used other apps like carb manager to track my daily meals. But putting in recipes for home-cooked meals was always a tedious chore. This scale makes it easy as you weigh what you're adding to your meals, and it keeps score of the calories/fat/protein/etc and tallies them up for you.At the end, I just divvy out my soup for the week, and take the total calculations from my recipe and divide that by how many servings I've portioned out to get an accurate weekly total of how much I'm consuming. The app, called Nutribalan (available in the app store), does not come with any reviews. It does state that it does not collect data, but I am a bit leary of this app perhaps because it has no prior reviews. In addition, it requires that you include your birthdate, height, gender, and weight as it takes all of these into calculation for meeting your daily percentages of intake.Could you use this as a standalone scale for everyday measurements without opening the app? Yes.But using the app for a niche like being super precise for meal planning is where it really shines.

This is a nice set of kitchen scales with a small footprint with a decent weighing plate large enough for practical use. The angled display is particularly helpful when weighing large containers. Calibration seems good and these accurately weigh between 0.5 g and 5 kg in 0.1 g increments. The USP of this device though is integration with a nutritional app that includes a database of foodstuffs to allow calorie tracking and calculations. The app will also integrate with various mobile health apps like Fitbit, but the integration is one way with nutritional data being pushed from this app to Fitbit. Unfortunately, whilst different regional food libraries are available in the app there is no UK food library with the options being USA, Germany, China, France, Japan, Korea, Russia, Persian. This is a significant limitation, and frankly a disappointment.Ideally, the app would integrate with other third party food libraries such as the one provided by My Fitness Pal, but as it stands its usefulness is somewhat limited.

We love this scale so far! We’ve had no issues with it at all (at least up to this point - will update if that changes at all). We especially like how precise it is, which is on all points of the scale, something that seems to be unusual. Many of the scales I’ve tried will give you different readings depending on where you put whatever it is you are weighing. I will say that with scales, how they are packed and delivered does play a big part in how well they work, since they are a sensitive item. Aside from that this seems to be well made and with good quality materials. I like, and much prefer, the stainless steel plate as you can wipe it clean easily. Some of us use it constantly for diet purposes, but also for coffee (we are very precise around here when it comes to coffee). Also, If You accidentally tare/ clear it, you can hit another button and get your reading back (which is super helpful). We did not, nor will we, download the app. I personally don’t like having an app for everything, and most of them seem to give or sell your information so it’s not something we’d ever use. Other than that, it’s a great scale and I would definitely recommend it.

- Shipped with rubber stoppers that protect the weighing balances from becoming unbalanced- Comes with batteries already in (protected from corrosion by removable plastic slip)- Standard controls, easy to understand- One year warranty- Has 5-min auto-shutoff time (which is nice because my old scale had a really short shut off time)- Higher weight limit than my other 0.1g scale, and more precise than my other 1g scale (which has the same weight limit as this one). So definitely an upgrade form both scales, and now I can have one scale with the capabilities of both!- See pictures: I tested it against my other scales, with items of various weight. It's hard to know which is more or less accurate, since I haven't tested the calibration of either one. But they are at least within 0.1g of each other, so that's good.- The app is kind of an interesting added feature, although to me it doesn't seem that much easier or better than just entering things manually into a free nutrition tracker app such as Cronometer, which is a bit more comprehensive as well. Still, it's at least cool that it's free. It's easy to find and set up. I will probably not be using the app though, since Cronometer fulfills my needs better.- The surface of the scale smudges easily. So if you're particular about that kind of thing you will have to wipe it off a lot haha

This compact and lightweight scale doesn’t take up much space and can be used not only at home but also while camping. It’s very handy for cooking and tracking nutritional information. Although I haven’t used the app yet, the scale functions well for basic weighing and is easy to operate. If using a bowl, the tare function works smoothly to zero out its weight, and switching between units of measurement is quick and convenient. I'm especially interested in testing the app to see how much time it can save in tracking nutrition, as that process can often be time-consuming. I’ll update this review with my experience once I’ve tried it.In terms of accuracy, the precision is decent but not ideal. The weight reading can vary slightly depending on where the item is placed—centered vs. off to the side. It also seems to register about 3 grams over the actual weight, which might be a concern for tasks requiring exact measurements, such as preparing coffee or tea. That said, it is sufficiently accurate for everyday cooking needs.
