So we have fingerprint (which time and time again I say I LOVE fingerprint locks), keys, little cards, APP, and Codes. The ability to create remote codes makes this a good lock for a short term rental type of thing, OR for a small business with employees access.I have a LOT, and I mean a LOT (over 22 as of this writing) fingerprint+ locks on my properties. I am always forgetting my keys, or which key is to what, and things change over time. However, having a singular code I can remember and mostly my fingerprint makes it SO much easier on my life. Installation will be easy as I checked it out with a spare door (not actually on a building) that I am now using as a testing door for paint, locks, doggy doors, etc. If you have ever installed a normal door handle it's very much the same thing only larger with only a couple of extra steps. Follow the directions and you should have no problems at all installing this lock. If your door is normal it will fit just fine. Also all my locks are matte black as I love that color. Silver is tired and gold is too flashy.Once installed the handle it solid feels good and the fingerprint scanner, which I reallly want to note is on TOP of the lock (good idea) at an angle that's perfect for fingerprint scanning. That makes this one of the better door locks due to that alone as some put the fingerprint scanner in the most ODD places. So placing your finger is super easy.You cannot use rechargeable batteries in these types of locks (no idea why) but fear not! There is a USB-C port at the bottom that you can plug in anything that can power something (even your phone most of the time) and power the lock so you can operate it if you don't have the key with you. Then you can change out the batteries. I am not a fan of the plastic battery cover door plate.Also note while just handling the lock the lock seems to easily get marked up with fingerprints (irony) and little scratches. While I think you can wipe that away it occurred to me while I tested the lock (I test everything before I put them in place). So I think I will update this review in the near future once it's in the permanent place it's to be installed. Though some paints can get marked up and when wiped down clean right up. We shall see.Overall right now, this has a Price to Value Ratio (calling it PVR now) of GOOD for the current price and the quality of the product. This is subject to change mind you.

This is a well-built, surprisingly lightweight smart lock that still feels solid once it’s installed. The big plus here is flexibility — fingerprint, keypad, key, app, RFID cards — it’s all there. You can even create temporary or remote codes, which makes it a solid pick for Airbnb hosts or small business use.Fingerprint scanner placement is one of the smartest I’ve seen — it’s angled on the top of the handle where your finger naturally lands. Recognition is quick and reliable once you get your prints set up properly.Setup wasn’t hard. If you’ve ever swapped a door handle before, you’ll be fine. The instructions are clear enough, and I tested mine on a spare door just to get a feel for it — everything lined up without surprises. App setup was smooth too (uses TTLock), and once it’s connected, you can manage everything from your phone: add codes, check logs, tweak settings, etc.It doesn’t support rechargeable batteries, but the USB-C port at the bottom is a smart backup — plug in a power bank if the batteries die and you’re still good to go. Only real nitpick is the plastic battery cover, which feels a little flimsy compared to the rest of the build.Cosmetically, it does pick up some fingerprints and light scratches during handling, but most wipe right off. I’d expect it to hold up fine once it’s mounted and not constantly touched during setup.Overall, for the price, you’re getting a ton of functionality and a clean, modern design. I’ve tried a lot of smart locks and this one punches above its weight.

The Ossomo Smart Lock can be unlocked with a key, keypad, fingerprint, fob, and app. Each unlocking is logged. You will know exactly which person got home and when. Great to track when everyone gets home. The convenience is great.Installation is easy if you already have an existing cut out for a standard door handle. Fits perfectly to replace the existing handle. Be careful that you get the gaskets installed properly to provide some weather protection. I would not recommend this lock if directly exposed to wet weather without adding something to help protect it.Simple to set up with the app TTlock - which supports a large selection of door locks. It took me about 15 minutes to put together, including removing my old locking door handle. If I have never changed handles or locks before, would probably have taken about a half hour. The app helps to fine tune all of the features for your homes individual needs.If you want this to work from a distance you will need to get a 'Smart Lock Gateway'. These are inexpensive and simple to set up. Gateways add more capability to your door lock.I have a couple of other smart locks. This one seems to have an updated fingerprint capability. Seems to scan faster and more accurately then my older locks. I feel the 98% recognition rate is a fantasy. Many times I have to re-scan once or twice before recognition succeeds. Usually that is no big deal.This lock replaced a previously purchased last generation device that failed. When I took that lock apart I noticed wires that were frayed. This newer lock connects wires with a slightly different scheme that seems to reduce where the wire may get worn, so I am confident that this lock will last.I love the features of these new smart locks. They are a great improvement for convenience and home security.
