The meter worked well for me. Compact size and easy to use. Used for checking BRIX levels in wine.Beats using a Hydrometer. Much easier to read. Compared readings to friends more expensive meter and was very close in accuracy.

I love the easy of use with this Brix Refractometer. It is simple to use and calibrate. I am fairly new to this kind of device, but see its importance. I love the fact that it is a smart device allowing for easy storage of past reading or the ability to share test results. The recalibration method really could not be any easier than what it is. It is a great way to monitor whatever produce or product you are trying to grow or make. I think this is a great value.

This is really easy to use and doesn't take much to get the number you're after. Seems pretty accurate as well, I didn't know I needed one of these tools but it's really showing me how much sugar is in what I eat and drink.

I've been using this Brix meter with my fruit canning and processing. I try really hard to only add necessary sugar to my syrups, fruit butters, juices, jams, etc. becsuse I like to taste the natural flavor of the food. This meter has helped me hone my practice. It is simple to use, the dudplay is easy to read, and the meter has been reliable, so far. It is definitely helping me streamline the process.

Fantastic digital refractometer for beer brewing. About a year ago I purchased a cheaper brand digital refractometer that was frankly terrible. It was about half the cost of this one but every reading was wildly different even from the same sample. I never trusted it over my optical refractometer so it sat in my drawer unused.I was skeptical of this one after that experience but I've so badly wanted a digital refractometer for my brew days so I ordered it. Very happy to say that this one is not only accurate but seems to be more reliable than my previously accurate optical refractometer. It consistently produces the same measurements where my cheaper digital refractometer jumped around a lot not only sample to sample but on multiple tests of the same sample under measure. Not the case with this refractometer, there might be a 0.1% variance test to test but it was otherwise pretty consistent. My initial test of this refractometer was during a brew day. I found that it was off about 0.3 Brix from my optical refractometer when measuring my pre-boil wort gravity. That optical refractometer has never steered me wrong so I was initially suspected this digital one wasn't as accurate as I'd hoped. To take a more scientific approach I created a 15 Brix solution with 30g of table sugar and 170g of distilled water. I calibrated each instrument to 0 Brix using distilled water then measured with each. This refractometer read 14.9% Brix which matched my hydrometer exactly while my optical incorrectly read 14.4% Brix. This indicates that this refractometer is accurate to within 0.1% Brix which is well within my range of acceptance. It also matched my hydrometer which read slightly below 15 Brix as well as you can see in my pictures, so I suspect both are actually correct and I accidently diluted the test solution slightly to 14.9% Brix. The product also includes some nice extras. There is a carrying case, three soft cloths for cleaning it, a few pipets and they include not only the pre-installed AAA batteries but a screw driver to remove them as well. My first action when I opened the box was to get my Philips head out and unscrew the back to install the batteries. That's when I realized that batteries were included and so was the screwdriver. This refractometer also supports Bluetooth readings by way of an app. I did not test this out as I don't find using an app to control this more convenient than the touch screen. Although the app does keep track and log the historical measurements which I could actually see being handy for keeping track of a correction factor. But brew days are messy enough without having to pull out my phone every second so I'll probably just capture that information in my notes as I always have.Overall I'm really thrilled to finally have an accurate digital refractometer. It will probably take a few more brew days of double checking this with my old refractometer but I'm optimistic this will eventually replace my need to my old optical one.

I love when a tool teaches you to think about things in a new way. When I first started using this I was worried that the readings were drifting and that I may have received a defective unit. Rather than that, it turned out the drift I was noticing was actually the sensor tracking the evaporation rate of the bourbon I'd chucked on there resulting in an increase sugar concentration. How cool is that!I'm pretty new to Brix Refractometers so I didn't know anything about properly preparing samples at the start. For anyone who may similarly be a novice it's worth noting that the bubbles from carbonated beverages can also mess with readings. It's easy enough to shake a sample first to get it to go flat quicker, but just something to keep in mind.Outside of that this tool has been very intuitive to work with and has produced consistent readings from stable samples. I'm very happy with this.

I use this digital Brix Refractometer for brewing beer, and it’s been a great upgrade from my old analog scope. It’s much more convenient and easier to get an accurate reading with the digital display. No more guessing or squinting through the eyepiece—it’s quick, precise, and hassle-free. Highly recommend for brewers looking to streamline their process.
