I purchased a very nice elegant, Do not Disturb sign from Amazon, looks very smart and appears custom, with my expensive hardwood custom made doorSpanish style with wrought iron and nail brads with speakeasy opening. Plus also from Amazon a sign by doorbell a sign. Well worked for awhile…. Either they can’t read, don’t care, or disregard…You name it they knock, and lean on doorbell or knock with the iron Lion door knocker on the wood door! My daughter had surgery,( 17 chronic illnesses) I broke my leg( healed now) it’s just us…I can’t be opening the door. Well this sign covers everyone! If not, a iron security encloser, custom made to fit my entry to door. With todays climate it’s scary if living alone

Sturdy, looks intimidating, gets your attention, yet nobody pays attention except, me.Sure, solicitors still knock and ring! Maybe they can’t read!As far as adhesion, on a rough surface another type of adhesive is required. I used a thick two sided heavy duty tape.

Not a huge sign but easy to read for someone approaching my door. Spells it out in detail just in case someone doesn’t know what the word soliciting means. Believe me, I’ve had people say that to me. Very happy with this sign, although instead of someone leaving me a menu around my doorknob, they laid it on the walkway to my door. I guess maybe they thought I meant don’t put it by the sign, lol. But so far, no one is knocking on my door to offer me the deal of a lifetime, so I’m happy.
