Cat enjoys this sometimes, but only keeps her busy for about 5 minutes. I will be buying again, though. It's good if I need her distracted for just a few minutes.

Highly recommend this toy for your cat. As my cat when I had purchased this, had never had a catnip ball before this was the first one I had to try out. As soon as I brought it to my cat, he rubbed his face against it and fell in love with it he even ended up sleeping with it at night.

My cat is a catnip fiend and I thought it would be good to feed her addiction with a catnip ball to bat around. Not only did she not care about it, she doesn't seem to be affected by it at all. The only way I got it to be somewhat interesting to her was to put it in the can of cat crack that I had to let it absorbe some of the oils and smell from the loose catnip. I should have returned it for a new one but after doing this, it seems to be ok. she loves to roll around with it and likes to be rubbed down with the ball when she's lazy.

My 2 cats love catnip. One loves balls. I got 2 of these compressed catnip balls for them. I opened one & gave to the cats. They both sniffed & ignored. That really surprised me as I expected them to pounce on them & roll around w/ it. I was somewhat shocked at how hard it is. It's like a golf ball or pool ball. I rolls "heavy" across the floor. My cats didn't play with it at all. I figured it was just another ignored cat toy. Then I saw questions on Amazon about made in China & I checked the packaging of the unopened ball. Sure enough they are made in China. I avoid anything edible from China, especially pet items, & sure didn't want to risk my cats getting sick from this item. They don't like it or play with it so I checked Amazon about returning the product. I'm extremely satisfied with how Amazon handled this. They offered a "returnless refund" credit. I am more than satisfied with Amazon in dealing with this & was disappointed about the balls (1) being so hard; (2) the cats didn't seem to smell any catnip even though it's like compressed dried catnip formed into a ball; (3) that the item is made in China, no thanks.

I had an old one that lasted for about 5 or 6 years until my cat finally cracked it apart a few weeks ago. I bought a new one and my cat loves it more than the old one. It definitely has a stronger catnip smell than the last one. My cat spends hours licking it and playing with it... worth the money! The one downside I noticed is that it left a green stain on my white bed spread after my cat had it on the bed. So keep it off light surfaces to avoid grass stains.

My cats follow me from room to room so they were observing my amazon package opening.I hate packaging engineers and this one is amazingly secure. As soon as I made a tiny cut, they could smell the catnip and were frantic to have it! I had to really work to get it free then four cats wanted it.It was kind of like a soccer game as they grabbed and batted at it rolling it all around the room. They lick it and roll on it and get sillier and sillier. It's very hard. Apparently tightly compressed.I'll have to let you know later how long it lasts.

My cats love these things. They like them better than other compressed catnip toys - I think that's because the catnip isn't SO tightly compressed. Maybe they can smell it better. It still holds together well though, rolls like a ball, etc. Just don't ever let a compressed catnip toy get wet! They completely fall apart when wet. However, I haven't had as much trouble with these getting wet as I have with other compressed catnip toys. Some of the other toys have feathers coming out of them so my cats can carry them around and wind up dropping them in the water bowl at some point or another. I've not had much problem with these balls, since there's no easy way for them to carry it.
