This AMG350C-N04C water separator is suitable for use in removing water vapor from air flow. The separator has 1/2" National Pipe Taper (NPT) female inlet and outlet ports for use with existing air piping and handles up to 1,500 L/min air flow rate during operation. The normally closed (NC) automatic drain allows accumulated liquid to drain from the bowl. This water separator is Restriction of Hazardous Substances (RoHS) compliant and is suitable for use in compressed-air applications such as in a machine shop or assembly line.

Compressed air filters remove pollutants and submicronic contaminants from clean air in compressed air handling and preparation systems. Clean compressed air provides and controls energy, conveys materials, and is critical to the safe operation of equipment in many industries. Compressed air filters remove particulates (dirt), oil, water, and oil vapor. They can be combined with other units, integrating with either a regulator, which controls excess pressure for better performance, or a lubricator, which adds oil mist to the air, or both. They are typically constructed of metal, such as zinc or type 316 stainless steel, or transparent polycarbonate, and are available with optional indicators, gauges, and drain configurations depending on the application. Compressed air filters are used in a wide range of applications, including food processing, electronics, health care, and instrumentation, among others.

Works great if plumbed with pipe before it. I initially had about 4' of pipe between my compressor and this separator, but I was still getting water in my shop lines. I added a 50' spool of 1/2" copper tubing in between, mounted horizontally under my rafters so condensation could move freely toward the separator. Now it works perfect and my lines are dry. There's a gray quick connect fitting at the bottom that you can run a drain tube to (5/16" tube I think). Screw that fitting in to let it auto drain. Unscrew to activate manual drain (though it doesn't seem to do that right away).

I use this on my haas CNc machine to keep water out of the machines lines. It works great and automatically drains itself. So plumb it in and forget about it. The air coming the lines and air hose is perfectly dry now.

While this probably represents the ultimate in a water separator, I wish I could re-phase the sight glass 180 degrees for my setup. It's no biggie to use a mirror and flashlight to see if I need to service the unit, but it could be just that much better. Other than that, this thing is better than pockets on a shirt.
