I originally bought this remote for my Canon Rebel and LOVE it. Then I upgraded to a Canon 6D and found I coulnd't use it. Although the description for this item does not mention being compatible with the 6D, I took a risk (since the Mark III could use it). It works just fine with the new camera, and can now use the remote with either camera by just switching the cord.

I really didnt want to buy a new remote trigger and it was awesome there was a replacement cable option. Shipping and package was great! I would recommend this item

Purchased new camera and the cable that came with my old remote did not fit. The ability to simply purchase a cable that works with the new camera saved me a lot of money.
