Ready for the trail, road, or CX course, the Smith Ruckus sunglasses are made for all-day comfort with thin, no-slip temples that are designed to work with your helmet. The raised-brow design with two interchangeable ChromaPop lenses gives you great peripheral vision in the riding position and adds enhanced color and detail to your view. Fantastic glasses. The field of view is super wide. With the almost frameless design, nothing disturbs. They adjust very quickly to changes in light and stay clear in cold weather.

Been seriously biking nearly 40 years and these are the best glasses I’ve ever used. I’ve worn Tifosi for the last 12 or so years and liked them, but they did constantly creep down my nose throughout rides. The Smith do not creep whatsoever and the clarity of the lenses is great. The red chromopop have worked well in all conditions while riding throughout the desert southwest, in the Rockies, the Midwest and PNW. I haven’t tried the rose lens yet but will most likely like that for the cloudy/rainy days in the PNW. Great fit and wrap across the face. Great looking and fit well with my Specialized S-Works helmet. I was between these and the Attack Mag. Like them both.

These things are great for runs. Typically run in the mornings and these are perfect. They are clear when the sun is down but the tint changes as the sun hits them. Fit is great and no bounce at all. They don’t slide or shift at all. Only gripe is that the lenses get crusted in salt from my sweat making the lenses harder to see out of. Have never had that happen on other pairs of running sunglasses.

See my review of Pivlock Reverb model. SMITH chromapop glasses are great for cycling. I ride alot and own several pairs. Never ride without eye protection you only get on pair! Some SMITH models do not fit me as well as the reverb. This Ruckus model is slightly bigger than my other SMITH glasses and so I could feel the weight difference. They would not stay up on my nose. Still great glasses and I would highly recommend the SMITH brand. I do wish SMITH would offer replacment nose pieces (major POF). Just find the model that works and note the specs/sizes that works best and stick with it. Had to return these due to fit.

Put them on and forget they are there! The photocromatic lense is perfect for the wooded back roads I ride on. They allow me to see the fast, shaded down hills and keep me from being blinded in the sunny sections.Very comfortable, excellent glasses!

For not-blindingly-bright rides, these are excellent; I can wear them all day protecting my eyes from spray, bugs, and dust without thinking about switching them out as they adjust from night to overcast brightness.I like how easy the lens is to switch out. I also bought an dark (10% pass-through) lens, and it takes seconds to swap lenses. The large lens size does a great job of fitting my face and reducing the dust and moisture spray infiltration. The adjustable nose bridge is fantastic and allows the lenses to sit even closer to my face while perching perfectly on my nose.I haven't gotten to try out the included contrast-enhancing rose lens yet.If I had a criticism, it would be that the rubber on the arms doesn't hold the sunglasses in place when sitting on top of my helmet straps. I never had this issue with my lighter Oakley Flak sunglasses. But it is trivial to slide the glasses under the straps, against the skin, and there they're not moving.

I use these for cycling. Great field of vision and optics, very lightweight and they stay put. I feel like I'm not even wearing them. I absolutely love them. They've solved my eye irritation problems while riding. They also come with clear lenses and a great case. Couldn't be happier. Would give more stars if I could.

Lens has great visibility in both dark and bright conditions. Unlike many square design sunglasses, Ruckus is more compact. My second purchase of Ruckus. The problem is that the plastic part to attach the nose pad is very weak. My first Ruckus broke after a year of use.

I have a number of Smith sunglasses I use for cycling, these Ruckus sunglasses are a welcome addition.I bought the Matt black frames with the very dark platinum mirror lens, only 12% visible light transmission (VLT). These are perfect for bright summer days, and the larger lens provides excellent coverage.A thin plastic reinforcement runs across the top of the lens, with a slot underneath for ventilation. Although the lens provides more coverage than my older Attack and Pivlock lenses, the width is the same, for a medium overall fit.The platinum lens is great. I’m not sure what the ChromaPop technology does, but everything is crisp and clear, and the grey based lens doesn’t add any weird artificial color tones to the view. The updated Pivlock mechanism works well, as Smith added a reinforcement to the corners of the lens. The original Pivlock simply had a hole drilled in the lens, which was a lot more fragile and fiddly. If you’re not sure which lens to order, I’d recommend the black or platinum, both 12% VLT grey based lenses, or the photochromic, which goes from 20% VLT to completely clear, perfect for those cloudy days, or any low light situation. Finally, I got mine on an Amazon Warehouse deal, 85% off the regular price. I always check for a Warehouse deal when shopping on Amazon, sometimes I get lucky and snap up a real bargain.

Don't buy these glasses. I am super careful with my glasses. I baby them and I wore them all of two times and I got a big scratch on them. I have no idea how. I been wearing oakleys for years and they're polycarb as well but I never had this problem. Super disappointed.
