Horrible does not state you need a new windshield header got it took off old top and new smittybilt top won’t go on save your money and stay with factory

I'll preface this with, I bought this top on "Amazon warehouse" or whatever they call it now. It was listed as "used-like new". It showed up on time, was in great shape. Yes, you do need door surrounds and a tailgate bar. Factory ones work fine. Well, I assume the tailgate bar would, but I'll never know since the back window was MISSING!!! Amazon clearly doesn't check returns very well. I didn't realize until I had the top on and was ready to put the back window in. They gave me a $20 dollar credit when I called. I'm about done with Amazon. Once again, really like the top itself, it seems great, low noise and flapping, great storage, heavy duty zippers, grease them! I'd buy it again, just not from Amazon.

Seems like a good frameless top. I hope the zippers last longer than most Smittybilt replacement tops.Of utmost importance, TAKE YOUR TIME! Do your best to read and follow the horrible instructions. As a matter of fact, do yourself and your mental health a favor and watch the install video on Youchoob, if you've never installed this particular replacement top.

I'm sure it would be nice. but it's for a 2 door, not a 4 door!! amazon says it will fit pictures showing a 4 door. no description other wise . . nope!

Love this top. Followed directions, easy on, easy off. Walls store inside of top when off vehicle. Does not come with door surrounds. Only smitybuilt surrounds work with top. Also need the headboard for the front. Great top. Well built.

Didn't like that there were no instructions. Used it on a 2007 jeep wrangler 2 door.

I installed this top by myself in two hours. The instructions are easy to follow. The fit on my ‘08 Wrangler was perfect. No loud noise or flapping. I took the side and back windows off and it mods into a safari top. It was quiet and did not flap or make noise in that configuration. Solid product.

The quality of materials are great and the fit is pretty good for an aftermarket item. Alarmingly tight to zip initially, but doable. Very well designed. For those folks which have a torn or rotten or faded soft top, this is probably a really good deal. But that's not what we had. We had a '14 JK Sport with a very, very good hard top and freedom panels (t-tops). She thought this would be "easier in summer" to open her up. She bought it based on this listing description.We were able to infer the need for a windshield rail pretty easily based on the item description and ordered one at the same time, factored into the overall cost. But we still need a door surround kit (200 more), a tailgate bar of some kind (40-60 more), and a dozen youtube videos to replace the complete waste of paper that is the included instructions. Out of 25 steps and illustrations, only one wound up being helpful - the one that showed how to route the upper roll cage straps at the corners.We definitely would not have purchased this item if we knew that we needed to buy three separate items adding 300+ dollars to the overall cost, and that "opened up" is really just undoing a quarter mile of Velcro, zippers, and straps on 3 window panels. It's even more time consuming and frustrating than just lifting off the hard top, although it would not require 2 people or a hoist to accomplish.Our money and efforts would have been much better spent inventing a convenient hoist for the hard top to the garage ceiling, and I'll be convincing my girlfriend to go this route. She's shopping for a bestop NX now, and we have MUCH more homework to do before I sign up to waste another 4+ hours unpacking, repacking, and returning. Thank you mfg and Amazon for allowing a same-day-as-shipped return.
