I bought these for my 2015 sahara unlimited 4door. I am beyond pleased with what arrived at my doorstep. They look slick, quality is there, and install took me under 30 minutes. Recommend having a buddy to help hold the end of the bumper as you install it. 10/10 would purchase again.

Great part, I love the look and the performance. I wanted body protection but did not want to loose the side steps. Other models have single steps that come down under each door however I did not like the possibility of the single steps getting caught on obstacles. These have a solid bar that runs the length of the body offering a slider and body protection. These installed without any issues with the mounting holes like others were mentioning, I believe this issue was on the earlier models and has been fixed. I did put a couple stainless washes under one rear bolt to step it down a little from the body due to heavier bumps causing it to hit the pinch joint on the underside of the body, this was very easy and only for my personal preference. I was able to install these by-myself with the use of a floor jack and about an hour of time. This was start to finish and includes the removal of the original side steps.

The entire installation took about 1 hour, which included removing the factory running boards. My JK has a 3 1/2" lift with 35's, so installing these was pretty easy. I had no fitment issues at all, they went on very well and look fantastic. I did this by myself using two 5 gallon buckets (turned upside down at each end) to set the rails on while I bolted on each end. I did have the advantage of having an air impact wrench, but using a hand wrench would of worked fine as well. Only recommendation is to make sure before final tightening of the two mounting bolts is to push the rail towards the outside so that the body mount washer does not rub on the inner rail mounting bracket.Overall, fairly easy install, looks great and I actually feel much better if the Jeep was ever hit from a side impact due to the solid structure of these double rails!Note: I am not compensated in any way for this product. I write honest reviews from my actual experience after purchasing and using the product in an effort to pay it forward for the product reviews that have helped me make good purchases. If you found this review helpful, please note it below. Also, I respond to comments if there is a question.

As previously mentioned design has been changed fitment is no longer an issue due to elongated holes. Can be installed solo but definitely recommend having a partner to help. Solid piece. Will see how it holds up through our winter

These are great side rails that add a very good look to the car while also serving a functional purpose. They are great to use to get in and out of the Jeep for people who can't just step in like myself, I am 6'4. They also serve as pretty good protection while in parking lots from folks who swing their door open wildly. I haven't been on the trail with them yet, I am not a heavy trail rider, but they should do the trick for all easy and moderate trails. The only reason they did no get 5 stars is because it wasn't a bolt on, 20 minute job. SmittyBilt will flat out tell you if you call their customer service line that one side is supposed to go on like it was custom fit for your Jeep, and the other side will require work. I don't doubt that some people got lucky and both went on easy, it just didn't happen for me. My driver side went on easy, no fuss whatsoever. My passenger side was a pain in my rear end. Not only did I have to grind the rail to extend the holes so they line up with the bolts, but I had to use my angle grinder to take off a portion of the shroud the was rubbing. I also had to take off one of my body mount bolts because the rails would not go on with the bolt on. All in all, it was a learning experience but the rails are quality. They came packaged well as well.

These look amazing on my 2015 JKU. Drivers side went on within seconds. passengers side was a tighter fit and requires some finesse from my dremel. it looked like the elongated holes weren't long enough but they are fine. for the large holes that fit around the body mounts, if they are tight to fit just hit that area with a file or dremel and they will slide right on with a little push. very functional. great step for lifted jeeps. I haven't gone rock crawling yet, but even for you mall crawlers, these will protect you from people slamming their doors into a new $30k-50k Jeep. Highly recommend

I really did my research on this one and I was afraid to buy this product because of all the reviews of people saying the steps didn't fit on their jeeps correctly, etc. I was afraid I would have to grind holes larger like many people were reporting. I'm glad to say that the steps were very easy to install. With the help of 2 other guys, we held them up and they bolted right on. We literally finished the whole project in 18 minutes.I have a 2013 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Sport. Highly recommend and would buy again. This product is heavy and sturdy and looks great.

So the installation on these was like many of the other reviews. The drill holes did not match necessarily. The installation was done with 2 people and made things a lot easier.Other than having to twerk the holes a little they fit perfect on a 4 door wrangler unlimited. They are very sturdy and look really good. It was a great addition. As for functionality - it gives a good step when getting on to the Jeep. And also protects a from getting a lot of mud as well as rocks on the body of the Jeep. Does make for some extra heavy duty cleaning after a long mudding adventure.Would recommend getting this on a lifted Jeep. When we first installed it was a stock height and made the Jeep look a little over worked on. Once we put the Lift 2.75 it looked a lot better.

First off, I chose the Smittybilt Rock Rail/Steps based on Smittybilt's material quality and the overall look. I was in No way disapointed with either of these points! I still think these are some of the sharpest and most functional rock rails out to date, especially when price is brought into the equation. The actual quality of the materials used and the enginnering behind the design is Superb! With that being, please review the prior comments as well as this one before buying! I am by no means a stranger to "turning some wrenches" and am well equiped to handle any type of "bolt on" installation! Even with the proper tools including jack stands, floor jack, socket extensions, and an additional person for the installation, these rock rails/steps are severly hampered by a extremely poor design in how they are mounted to the vehichle! Without the use of a cutting porch; to heat up and bend the body mounts, the set I was sold could not be installed! The only reason I have rated this item so low is for the simple fact of the mounting design! The fact that Smittybilt does not engineer any "wiggle" room into their design goes along way to affecting their industry reputation.Good luck and have fun folks!
