- SDT106 Car Smoke Leak Detector is designed for detecting the leakage of pipe systems on cars, motorcycles, such as fuel pipe, air intake system and cooling tank.SDT-106 Fuel leak detector is for all pipe systems EVAP is a fuel evaporation control system used to collect and deal with fuel vapor, to prevent fuel vapor leakage. If the leak will pollute the atmosphere and even cause the vehicle to spontaneous combustion.Plus this set of accessories can detect the smoke of the EVAP system, check whether there is leakage, broken, enhanced traffic safety.

- Standard Cone Adapter: φ30-85mm, used to seal the airintake ports & introduce smokeinto the exhaust system.
- Power Cord Clamp: The cable length is 1.5m with 10A rated current. used to connectthe device to the battery powersupply.
- Valve Core Wrench: The double heads measure φ4mm/6mm with an overall length of 122mm & used as a tool to removeand install the EVAP service portvalve core.
- Hook: Used for hanging products.
- EVAP Special Connector: φ12.7mm, connects to the car's EVAP access port. which then introduces smoke.
- Test Oil Refill Bottle: The capacity is 100ml & usedfor adding smoke test oil.
- Rubber Connector Parts: The bigger side is φ16/10mmand smaller one is φ4/3mm.used to conetct the hose mouth to a smaller interface.
- Smoke Hose: Length is 1.5m, oil-resistanthose with φ6x9mm taperedcouplings, for conducting air & smoke.

- Car Sealing Test: Poor airtightness of the car may lead to inability to keep warm dusty, not soundproof, and not waterproof ,etc.
- Fuel Tank System Test: When there is a gap in the fuel tank and piping caused by improper installation, it will cause leaks in the fuel tank system.
- Exhaust System Test: When leaks happened in the exhaust, unpurified harmful gases to be discharged into the atmosphere and generate vehicle noise.
- Intake System Test: Leakage in the air intake system will lead to insufficient intake of the car engine.
- EVAP System Test: Leakage of the fuel evaporation system will cause fuel vapor to leak into the atmosphere, causing waste and pollution or unstable engine idling.
- Crankcase System Test: Excessive pressure or corrosion of the crankcase is the main reason to damage the seal of the crankcase and cause oil leakage.
- Various Pipe Fittings Test: Smoke testing of brake hoses, power steering hoses, cooling system hoses, air conditioning system hoses, turbocharger hoses, fuel hoses, intake and exhaust system hoses, etc. Note: Not applicable to air conditioning system piping.

How to do leakage test
- Step 1 Fill (baby oil or mineral oil based) smoke oil into the smoke machine. Note: The oil level shall not exceed the level gauge.
- Step 2 Disconnect the pipes that need to be conneced with detector.
- Step 3 Connect 12V vehicle power to start the device.
- Step 4 In about 30 seconds, the pipe will be filled with smoke. Check the leak points and use head lamp if necessary.
- Warming Tips
- In first time use, please fill with 10ml test liquid into the car smoke leak detector. Both liquid paraffin and baby oil are OK, the oil level shall not exceed the level gauge.
- Before filling fresh oil, please pour out the oil left in the detector. The fresh oil can be filled with only when the smoke gets thin, can’t be filled over 20ml each time.
- During the process of leak detection, must keep away from smoke-sensitive parts. Please be careful with the round part of the leak detector with high temperature to avoid burns hurt.
- With longtime high temperature work, the smoke and oil will oxidize and deteriorate. It will infect the service life of smoke generated part, so please change smoke and oil regularly.

good smoke, works as designed. good plug set. fitting works on evap ports encountered so far. unit is not hot to the touch after a usual smoke test.

他の方のレビューを参考にさせてもらい、別でベビーオイルを事前に準備しておきました。エンジン整備でインテークマニホールドの吸気漏れのチェックの為、購入したパイプリークテスターを使用しました。使用指定のオイルの代替えでベビーオイルを使用したのですが、本来の目的は達成できました。ただ、ベビーオイルだとなかなかスモークが消えない←スモークの性質から下の方に溜まりやすい、肝心の狭くて暗い場所を見るのに他の場所から出てきスモークが混ざると判断しにくいのでちょっとした配慮が必要。←ファイバースコープで見るようにしたらかなり良かった。購入を考えてる方は事前に指定オイルまたはベビーオイルなどの代用品を用意しといたほうがいいです。

目で見て分からない箇所からのリークが確認できます。ベビーオイルを使用しましたが、煙はそこそこ臭うので、換気が出来る場所、もしくは近隣に迷惑がかからない場所での使用をおすすめします。

like = sufficient pressure and smokedislike = motor runs immediately when connected to battery. switch has no purpose as when in off and on position smoke continuously comes out.

Decent smoke machine that I can use in my Garage to check for evap leaks, emission leaks, intake leaks,, maybe even AC leaks.It pays for its after a use or two.

Works like it says. Instructions are a little weird most being in an Asian language. But this is a great tool. Plenty of attachments and puts out alot of smoke.

Just because it can hold a lot of oil, doesn't mean you need to fill it to the brim like a normal American tool would work. This thing is Chinese, its delicate. The heating element can only handle 20ml of oil. Thats a very important thing to know and follow. If you put more than that, you will get no smoke.

I've been a automotive technician for over 40 years and I have to say that this smoke machine works flawlessly. It paid for itself with the first use. I was able to find and repair an evap leak in less than an hour. I highly recommend

Out of the box, it didn't work. Upon inspection, it became clear that the problem was sub-standard wiring. The electrical connections (luckily there are only a few) were not attached properly. I got out my soldering gun, and soldered all the wires in place. I have used it three times so far, and it is working well now. I expect this will be a useful tool in the future. It only took me about 15 minutes to find the problem with the tool and do the soldering, but for someone who may not have the electrical tools and knowledge to fix, it would have been a problem.So, OK tool but poor quality control.
