This is simple to put together and mostly simple to use. I say mostly because the handle is a little stiff to pull shut and the claw doesn't always go into the open slot for it every time. If you're actually grabbing a reptile with this, it's unlikely this is an issue, depending on the size of the reptile. I do recommend watching the video because the latch at the end was unclear in the instructions that come with it until I watched the video. Then, getting the line taught was a cinch. It probably needs a little grease because you can feel the friction on the line. Overall, it's far better than what I expected for the price, so it's worth picking up right there.

I got these snake grabbers to use to clean hard to reach trash out of the woods. I figured if it can hold a snake it would help with those awkward shaped pieces of trash. It did help and I like that it has a long reach, the claw stays well closed when squeezing the handle, the handle and claw have a rubber like coating and the cushion grip for the stabilization of the grabbing pole. The things I didn’t care for for cleaning up trash is it’s weight and length you have to use both hands to operate it making carrying a trash bucket along with you more challenging, but I could see how it’s important to have that length if you were handling a snake. Overall it’s a good product for the price, would recommend.
