I ordered these specifically to test the icebox scraper. Every deep freeze I have owned has had a thick layer of ice around the sides that refused to be removed, short of unpugging it and letting it thaw. I'm glad to report that after 2 firm smacks, the chunk of ice fell right off the side of the freezer! As for the ice scoop, it may be a little unwieldy for a standard refrigerator ice maker, but it would definitely work great for a ice chest.
