This wonderful device successfully transferred over 40 songs from 3 old TDK tapes to a USB drive. By using the ‘auto’ save mode, each song was saved to its own MP3 file. I was surprised by the sound quality. There was no humming noises or other interference.

Well, it took alot longer for it to arrive... but once I decifered the AI translations, and kept it as simple as possible... the MP3 playback was TERRIFIC ! My 45 year old cassettes recordings of family sounded very real ! Very pleased !The Lid was a bit tricky to open (no Eject button), grab both edges... Then the Record Button on the lid is mislabeled (it's the smaller one). The large multifunctional button on the lid is mysterious (the center spot may be for Auto-Splitting songs). Is not for live conversations. I just monitored it (earpiece) and Manually kept toggling the Record button between topics of recorded conversations :) To Edit this MP3 file is harder. Audacity 3.0 software is incomplete (will not Open this MP3 file); but my old version 1.5 DID. So, I "Import" the recordings with it, edit and save the Project (.au). Then Open it with 3.0 to write it (Export) as MP3. But THAT worked :)
