Do Not buy a Gift Horse or look him in the mouth! Make SURE you try this item before buying it at $189.00 for a Starter Kit. This is the worst tasting thing I've ever had in my hand! I typed in a Soft drink machine and this is what I got! I have NEVER wasted so much money on a pile of junk like this in my life. I am only not satisfied but upset that they let people sell this to people for a profit! Mine is 1 day old and punched the button 13 times and had no more carbonated water in it than a hard shook up coke or root beer and tasting my 1st drink, that is what it tasted like! Almost, maybe .05% Carbonation. Can I send it back???

I read some reviews that said it only makes a big mess and they weren’t happy with it ! They must keep their finger on the button for too long ! Because it works fantastic and love this product!

This is our 2nd Soda maker but a different model. It’s easier to use then the original Soda stream. More compact but still tall. We drink a lot of sparkling soda, got tired of spending so much money, this is a better investment.

Easy to use. Makes many many bottles.Avoid tons and tons in the landfill or recycling workflow with cans, or worse, plastic bottles.ADD Flavoring or other additive AFTER AFTER AFTER water is charged with Co2 --- best results and no overflows.Looking for a place to recycle/re-use the Co2 bottles.

You will spurt water on the counter every time you use this soda stream. I understand the Non-airtight design...it's to keep the less intelligent folk from holding the CO2 trigger down until the bottle explodes. I get it. We position a kitchen towel to catch most of the water when injecting CO2...then use it to wipe down the soda stream. It's not terrible. With practice, you'll learn the technique and how long you can hold down the trigger so as to spurt the least amount of water. It does allow different people to inject their preferred amount of "fizz" into their water. I like my water more fizzy than does my wife...so it's good from that aspect. I haven't used any flavorings...other than a splash of orange bitters in my glass. We haven't gotten through the first CO2 cartridge yet...I think we have made about 20 liters of fizzy water so far. The only three real pros to me are knowing the water quality (we have a reverse osmosis system), not buying canned/bottled water, and being able to adjust the amount of fizz. Cost is going to be about equal to buying cans. If you can live with the messy part - go for it.

One of the best, most fun to use, and environmentally friendly gifts I've ever given to someone! Thre carbonated water tastes great, with flavor choices that rival all the major manufacturers. This saves on canvas and bottles being thrown away or having to be recycled, as it comes with its own reusable bottles! I bought this for my girlfriend and she loves it!

This is an amazing product. Unfortunately we live in a time that we do not often get quality and value. Soda Stream is truly a great product. I have “infected” my entire family with it and everyone loves it. I had a problem with one of the units, sent an e mail,got not only a reply within a couple hours (with an apology) but an offer of a replacement or refund. My new unit is on the way. Great product and terrific customer service,what more could you ask for? P.S. -Try fresh squeezed lemon juice,a little agave syrup and bubbles. You will never buy another bottled soda or seltzer.

I have been drinking seltzer water since I was a teenager and I am past 50 now. This new fad of drinking seltzer has taken off and made me increase my seltzer consumption to at least two liters per day. I love just plain seltzer so that is all I am making with it currently.More water, less plastic in the landfill and this is just a positive thing. The extra bottles are great. I didn't care for the drops of flavor so I gave them to a friend that enjoys them.This has been a positive purchase and it doesn't take up much room on the counter but gets used several times per day.

Use it almost daily. Love the fizzy water with natural flavors. Also love the flavored fizzies! We bought the Soda Stream to eliminate canned pop, and it's working like a dream. Syrups aren't cheap, though, so be prepared to pay more per ounce for Soda Stream drinks. Maybe the syrups will come down in price if enough people complain.
