This was used to make a gown hem stiff. Worked great! Also see Jimmy Choo uses this on a few of his heels as bows, very pretty!

I'm only giving four stars, I bought this for a hem based on other reviews and it is too light weight. Would be great for facing in garments, I was looking for something with a little more rigidity.

It was not what I expected. I bought it for hemming a skirt for ballroom dancing costume. But it was too stiff and heavy for it. It is more than 3 times heavier that horsehair braid I was buying before from different vendors. Feels like more suitable for construction or other craft projects. I returned it, since I couldn't use it. It might still be useable for hut making or other projects. I think the description should be more detailed, so people won't got confused.
