Had a professional install on my RV rooftop air conditioning because when it is HOT at my favorite campground and EVERYONE is also running their AIr conditioner the electricity is sometimes not powerful to start my Air conditioner. This WORKED!!! But it failed after about a month. Past Amazon return time. So had it removed and we just run the generator when we need air.

He looks beautiful when you open it from the package. They send a piece of paper for before installing you go to a YouTube video which doesn't exist it explains the features about the product it explains the specifications electrical the protection the environment the application and the LED indicators. No real instructions how to put it on so you have to understand HVAC and wiring or hire someone at does specifically for RV. Upon installing them everything is great there's three lights and there's l1 L2 and a self test and it's supposed to go from red lights meaning it's on to Green light meaning everything's running great. Ran great for a day hesitated from time to time but even out. However upon restarting them the next day for the heat wave the compressor would come on and shut right off. Had to get HVAC again and have them test and when removing the product air conditioner ran perfectly fine no problems this product is not going to last. Not even sure if a more top dollar product Woods hold to the challenge but we're going to purchase I'm more expensive product hoping that it will do better in quality and stand the challenge and demand. We were happy for the first day sad the next day. So please be wise and choosing the product. I see there was a lot of good reviews but not really a how long it really lasted. Except for one or two that had the same problem. So WE REALLY DID NOT SEE THE DIFFERENCE IN NOISE. WE WERE ABLE TO RUN BOTH AIR CONDITIONERS AT THE SAME TIME WITHOUT A PROBLEM UNTIL WE COULDN'T. SO WE'LL HIRE THE HVAC PROFESSIONAL TO HELP US CHOOSE A BETTER PRODUCT. SORRY TO BE THE VERY BAD NEWS. ONLY HOPING WE CAN GET OUR MONEY BACK!

This 5 wire unit is the secret to using a small inverter generator to run the AC on your RVI hooked it up to an older Carrier rooftop AC on my 5th wheel. Previously my 3000w generator would overload and kick out when the ac was running. Followed the easy directions in the QR code with the kit and only took 15 minutes to install. Have been running the AC on the generator for an hour and zero issues. 👌

Fantastic instructions, I was able to do it in about an hour in the dark. The worst part of installation was the mosquitoes. Just ran a test with a 20 amp line from the house and it did great. I’ll report back in three months, creating a reminder for myself. It’ll be important to see how reliable it is with the remaining camping trips we have planned.

All looks good on the unboxing - although all instructions say that there is “heavy-duty adhesive backing” included. This is not included. I will need to head to local store to buy some mounting tapeI will update the review once installed.

Took about 1 hour to install using the instruction sheet. All the wires are color coded, so you just match them up with the instruction sheet Applied the electricity and everything works great. The air conditioner works on a 2000 watt Champion generator

I bought this unit hoping that my generator would work in eco mode when the air conditioner cycles on and off. Before this, I had to run the generator at constant full speed as the compressor in-rush would trip the generator in eco mode. But after installing this soft start, it works like a charm in eco mode. As the air conditioner cycles on and off, my generator will speed and slow down accordingly without any trips. Super happy!! Now I can get about 6 hours runtime from the tank instead of 2 hours.
