I bought this shoe as an alternative to the SoftWalk High Point, because I can't seem to find them in 10N anymore.The leather on the Hollis feels kind of thin and it doesn't have the cushion lining around the top of the foot and heel like the High Point.I could live with that, but since I have a narrow foot, the strap that goes over the foot is way too wide and sits up in the air off my foot. It can't really be adjusted enough to close the gap. So you have this shoe snug to the foot with no gaps, and that part looks pretty good, but a strap that sits up in the air off the top of the foot.This was not really attractive, and kind of a deal breaker.If you have a medium to wide foot this is probably not an issue. But for narrow feet, it may be.

I was looking here for a supportive flat, with an adjustable strap, that was just slightly north of casual so I could wear in the office or out & about, but still fairly stylish without breaking the bank (this is a very hard task, I'm finding). The color on these was a slightly glimmery/textured black - but only enough so to look faded. The cut of the shoe comes well up over the toe box (and indeed was my toes had lots of room), but the elastic edging/stitching isn't flattering and pulls the shoe in if you run narrow at all. The diagonal strap was cute, and easy to adjust, but I worry that the velcro could catch on my work pants. Overall, just not the stylish or comfortable shoe I was hoping.

Nice shoes, great arch support. Unfortunately they gave me blisters at my ankles. The sides of the shoes are too high.

I should have believed the reviews that say the back of the shoe around the heel is a nightmare. There is a separate panel of material that makes up the back of the shoe, and it is made to be very high. Because of this, it rubs against the back of the ankle to a degree that even just sitting, not even walking, it was tearing up my skin. The material is very stiff in this part of the shoe and I don't know if it would ever become softer. For the price of this shoe, I cannot keep it. It is unfortunate, because the rest of the shoe works for my hard-to-fit foot (7WW). It's not a very fashionable or beautiful shoe, but for a hard to fit foot, you learn to overlook those things. The toe box is wide enough and the material excluding the heel panel seems flexible. The sole is great. If the back panel was made at the same height as the rest of the shoe and made of the same material, I feel like this could have been a great shoe.

Comfy shoe basic. Bought them in an 81/2 W and they were perfect. They are not, however, the smooth leather, but more a nubuck finished. That said, a very good quality shoe with real comfort when wearing. My daughter was very happy with the ease and fit.

I was immediately attracted to the flat, thin contoured sole and rounded toe on this shoe. What I like most about these is that the end of the toe box is just high enough on these that the tip of one of my big toes that curves up slightly is not restricted at all, as it often is in a size that otherwise fits perfectly, especially in most flats. The fit for me seems very close to the Merrell Mimix Link in the same size. I generally wear a standard B width and these were not at all excessively narrow yet just a little more comfortably snug than usual. For me, that's a plus because it means just snug enough that my foot doesn't slide forward - there's still enough width in the toes for some toe spread. Someone with wider feet would likely find these too narrow. As others have mentioned, the velcro on the strap is positioned so that there's little adjustment allowed to tighten or loosen. On me that means it's a bit loose yet the shoes fit me so well that they'd hug my foot even if there was no strap. Since it doesn't flop around or look noticeably goofy, I'm happy to just leave it as is. On the other hand, someone with average to slightly narrower feet that also happens to have a very high arch or instep would find the extra room above the strap a welcome feature. I could do without the extra high padding in the arch and it seems positioned slightly forward of where it would ideally be placed. I may trim that down. The rest of the cushioning is also a little more spongy than someone who prefers good ground feel would favor. I'm ok with it though wouldn't mind it a little firmer. For most, though, the very soft, cushy insole could well be its greatest appeal. The black leather is very soft and supple. I don't know how well it would stand up to steady daily wear. For rotational or occasional wear and light walking I'm expecting this will wear very reasonably.

Look very nice and comfy, but will have to return or exchange as I'm normally a size 9 or even a bit less, and this 9 is too small and tight.
