I have lots of different soils in my yard and so many different plants, so I am glad to have a kit with multiple tests in it. From other things I have read, this should give me enough info to help with amendments. It's still winter here so I have not started my spring planting, I will update this review with more info after I start working in the yard. Excited to see what I find out!

Used this to check the nutrient levels and pH in my raised beds before planting vegetables. The instructions were clear, and the results gave me a good baseline for adjusting fertilizer and compost. It’s not lab-level precise, but definitely useful for home gardeners who want more than guesswork. Great for figuring out if your soil is actually balanced before dropping in your seedlings.

Bottom line: Missing components and unclear instructions make this a bad choice for beginners.We got this kit to try to figure out what our soil might be missing, since our garden hasn't been as productive in recent years. We have gardened for years, but never done soil testing.So, when the kit arrived it was missing pipettes and a "small" spoon, and 2-3 of the bottles of test solution looked like they'd been leaking. I thought we could try it anyway, since most of the instructions included exact measurements. I used an eye dropper to get my samples (clunky but worked) and tried three tests: Ph, Ammonium Nitrate and Potassium. All three results seemed to be standard for "typical" soil, so I wonder about accuracy. I couldn't try the Phosphate test, because the small spoon was missing and there was no indication of how much it contained, although the big spoon was supposed to be 1 gram.Even if the kit had everything I needed, though, it isn't beginner-friendly:- The color coded results page was plain paper, so of course it got wet during the testing;- The instructions said to keep vials upright, so the kit should have included feet for the vials or some other way to keep the vials upright;- The results were results only, with no information or references to how to interpret adequate vs inadequate or how to adjust the levels if needed.An expert soil tester might not have had any problems with this kit, but I'm not an expert, and the kit marketing said it was good for beginners.

Product package was missing several pieces and the ph solution appeared to have been opened and leaked a little.
