I began wearing Kurtas often a few years ago. I know where them at least two out of five days a week. I am not concerned about the traditional way in which they are worn; meaning I will wear styles meant to be pajamas as a regular everyday outfit. I simply love the idea of a longform garment that is not too heavy yet not too light. The Sojanya brand has consistently been one of my go-to brands, because they always seem to provide visually stunning kurtas. This purple-colored kurta I chose is very cool looking, with it reminding me of something the symbol artist would have worn. The glittery sparkles make this a garment that will have different effects, depending on the sunlight or artificial light. Out in natural sunlight, this kurta has a fun reflective quality, that moves with your body motion as you walk. It's a bit tricky getting into a genuine kurta at first because of the arms and the way they are deigned. I work it over my head with my arms extended out vertically, while I work the garment over, then down over my hands and head. The price of this is not too bad, considering this is made up of silk and cotton. The reflective pieces that are mixed into the material of the kurta stand out in a big way because of the main purple color being of a dark shade.

What I first noticed about this shirt is how well it was packaged, so neat and precise. The second thing I noticed is how beautiful the fabric is. You can't see it on these pages of photos, but there are very tiny little sequins sewn into the fabric. It adds a very special touch. A little sparkle all over.I purchased the red shirt in XL. It was a little small but wearable. Would definitely order up a size or two next time. It will look great to wear over leggings (for a woman). It does have sewn-in pockets which are not mentioned anywhere. On the down side, the description says that it's a silk blend. There is no label at all anywhere on the shirt about the fabric. It does, however, say to hand wash. Unlike the product description which says machine wash. I would never machine was something as delicate as this. Also, there were hanging threads at the bottom hem which I need to clip.Overall, I'm very pleased with this shirt. Now, I also wish they made it in some sort of blue or greenish color. Worth it to have a couple of these for special occasions.

This rating is purely on size. I ordered an XL and it was much more like a medium. I couldn't even slide it on for fear of ripping it or worse, getting stuck in it. I don't think the sizing chart they show is accurate. Not for people with bigger chests/shoulders.

100/100THIS is NOT a heavy fabric kurta or for daily or work wear! It is a fine, light weight, silk kurta for very dressy parties, celebrations, weddings, etc. Anyone would be happy and proud to have a fine kurta like this. It is very well made and all of the seams, etc. are well finished. The "bad part" now.I can't wear them. Their sizing is SO small that even sizing up the order to the largest size (which should have fit), it was way too small to wear. It would have ripped the first time I moved or sat. None of the other kurta or thobe I own are this small or tight.DO NOT believe the size chart at all. "Size up" three or four sizes, because if you don't it's probably going to be way too small. Too bad, really, it's a VERY nice kurta!Ultimately, is it worth the price? NO . . . the sizing is too far off on the small side.

There were reviews that said this item ran small so I ordered larger than usual. It is really big for me, but I can live with it. I love the material. The embroidery is beautiful and I love the gray color. So the size: I ordered an XXL, 44. It is 24" wide and 44" from shoulder to bottom hem. The sleeves are 36" from the middle of the collar. There are 2 side pockets which is nice to have pockets, but they aren't cut for you to keep your hands in them. They are deep for actually carrying something in them. As beautiful as the shirt is, it's disappointing to see that the pockets can pull open exposing an overlock seam. I think they just needed to turn the pockets inside out before attaching and then the seam would look neat. The pockets also are so deep that they hang a little bit below the side slit so they need to be shortened a little bit if that will matter to you.Overall, I really like this kurta.
