I've been using this charge controller primarily with flooded batteries, and it has performed adequately. The setup was straightforward, and the LCD display provides clear and useful information about the system's status. One feature I appreciate is the USB port, which adds an extra layer of convenience for charging small devices directly from the controller. The compatibility with different battery types (sealed, gel, and flooded) makes it a versatile option for various setups, even though I’ve only tested it with flooded batteries so far. I do wish it could do the LiFePO4 batteries though. While I now use it as a backup, it has proven to be a okay part of my solar setup. However, I haven't put it through extensive long-term use to fully gauge its durability. As a backup, it’s comforting to know that it’s there and functional when needed.Overall, this charge controller is a solid choice for managing solar power, offering flexibility and ease of use. It’s worth considering for anyone looking for a cheaper controller with useful features, even if just as a backup.

We love this. My other half is putting solar on our sailboat. We can keep in an eye on the voltage and also plug in usb to use.

I've installed a number of these for budget-minded boaters who live aboard at anchor. They have great features for the price:Being able to customize the charging voltages for the batteries allows them to work well with a variety of battery types. The "accessory" leads have a variety of uses. One of which is to supply power to a device once the panels stop charging. I use this to automatically turn on the anchor light when the sun goes down. It includes a cut-off voltage feature so the batteries aren't drained if it stays overcast for too long. The USB ports for charging devices is very handy as well.Just keep it dry!

Inexpensive controller that worked ok for 1 and 1/2 months. Description says 1 year warranty. Contacted seller and they told me to disconnect and reconnect. Display still blank. Informed seller of same and they said must be component inside died. Asked if covered by warranty and have not received reply. So for my experience; the product was faulty and the customer service was poor.

Overall an ok item. The missing star is due to missing feature. Wish it had a 12v canon plug input. But i got this as a sub from my other one CMMG? which had all the features i wanted but it died after about a year i had outside in a semi enclosed box but I guess overtime moisture was the culprit. This works ok so far, the wire connectors are tiny so good luck getting anything bigger than a 14 inside. Im running 16ga and still a little frustrating to get them seated. CMMG, ya i guess they dont make them anymore and are getting hard and expensive to find. So far this one is lasting so far about a month now but have since moved it into my shed so it should last longer in there now. I have this paired with an HFT 100w Solar panel kit which one panel died after almost a year so not im running 75w maybe 5amp at best? will update if anything happens to this little guy. at the moment though, I would probably buy again but i wont highly recommend on recommend generally.
