I got these for the upcoming summer. They are currently being used by my boys as lights to play with until the pool goes up. They're honestly really awesome to play in the dark with. The lights are very bright, durable build, great variety of colors, the battery last a long time and the solar charging works fantastic. Very happy with the value!

The lights are bright and the colors are pretty. However, we are returning them because despite multiple attempts to troubleshoot (using the directions) they would not turn on automatically at night as advertised.

I recently ordered the Solar Floating Pool Lights, and they have truly transformed my pool experience. These lights are not only functional but also incredibly stylish, adding a vibrant and enchanting atmosphere to my backyard at night. The RGB lighting with six dynamic modes creates a mesmerizing upper and lower glow that dances across the water, making every evening swim or poolside gathering feel like a special occasion. The fact that they are USB rechargeable and solar-powered is a game-changer—it's eco-friendly and ensures I never have to worry about replacing batteries. One of the standout features for me is its IP68 waterproof rating. I’ve used them in all kinds of weather, and they’ve held up beautifully without any issues. The remote control makes it effortless to switch between colors and modes depending on my mood or the occasion. Whether I want a calming ambiance or a lively party vibe, these lights deliver every time. Plus, their hangable design adds versatility—I’ve even used them to illuminate parts of my garden!

I also ordered a different set from the same manufacturer and both sets are pretty similar. They look good with the sun charging them during the day and you can turn them on at night with subtle light on the top and projected lights to the bottom of the pool. Similar to the other set, the only complaint I have is that these lights do not stay on from one night to another. You have to manually turn them on every time you want them on.

I’ve always loved a good pool light setup—something about that magical glow just makes the backyard feel like a resort. And while I already have some pricey built-in pool lights, I have to admit these little floating solar lights stole the show. The combination of RGB color shifting, dual power options (USB and solar), and upper/lower glow creates a light show that’s both vibrant and fun. Tossing a couple of these in the pool feels like giving your backyard a tropical upgrade—minus the plane ticket. What surprised me most was how well these lights punch above their price. They’re bright, surprisingly well-built for something floating around chlorinated water, and easy to operate. The remote is intuitive, the charging is simple, and the auto light sensor is a nice touch. Now, if only they’d learn to stay put. These guys do tend to congregate like ducks near the return jets or skimmers unless you rig up something to keep them in place. A little anchoring hook would’ve been nice. But even as they wander, they look good doing it.My Rubric✅ Good = Qualifies as a selling point➖ So-So = Not great, but also nothing resembling a showstopper❌ Not Good = Could be a showstopperMy star ratings, which tend to skew upward due to limitations in the 5-star system, are further elaborated in a decimalized scoring at the end of the review. Finally, although some items have been freely offered via the Vine system, I refuse to sell out and will never allow a vendor to influence my scoring through any means other than the quality of the product, both on its own and in relation to the current pricing at the time of my review. I value the efforts of other honest reviewers and wish nothing more than to pay their efforts forward in hopes of faithfully guiding others to informed decisions. The Good✅ Dual charging (solar and USB) – Works in sun or shade, no battery swapping required✅ Vibrant upper and lower glow – Light show looks impressive on the surface and in the water✅ Remote works from a distance – Easy to switch colors/modes even from the other side of the yard✅ Durable design – Thick plastic casing and IP68 waterproof rating give peace of mind✅ Versatile usage – Float them or hang them for garden and patio ambianceThe So-So➖ Tendency to drift – Without any anchor option, they may gather in one part of the pool➖ Remote battery may need replacing sooner than you’d think (mine arrived weak but worked)➖ Solar charging is weather dependent – Nice that USB is an option, but not everyone wants to plug in pool toysThe Not-Good❌ No built-in anchor or tethering hook – Makes it hard to keep them evenly spaced in a larger poolThe DetailsThese solar floating pool lights are more than just colorful toys—they’re surprisingly practical mood-setters. Whether you’re lounging quietly with a drink or throwing a backyard bash, they deliver beautiful color and ample brightness. I particularly like the up-and-down glow effect; it gives a layered ambiance that built-in pool lights often lack. The rechargeable battery is generous (2600mAh) and does hold a good charge, especially when you top off with USB.One suggestion I’d make to the manufacturer: consider adding a small ring or hook for optional anchoring. That way, you could keep the lights evenly spaced around the pool for a more balanced display. For now, they tend to bunch together unless the pool is still as glass. But for the price, and especially considering the ease of use, these floating lights add way more value than I expected. If you have a pool and even a smidge of whimsy, these are absolutely worth a try.Final Rating: 4.5/5(Fun, bright, and easy to use—just needs a way to stay in place for that perfect floating aesthetic.)

These pool lights add a lot of fun to both the pool and indoors. The colors are bright and can be easily changed with the remote. I really like that you can recharge these both with the solar panel on the top of the unit or with the included USB cord. I don’t like leaving them in the water all the time because the sun and the chlorine is so hard on plastic. With these I can charge them up in the house during the day, out of the sun then toss them in the pool in the evening when we are out there to enjoy them. They also look cool inside on a nightstand or table to light up walls and the ceiling. The controls are easy to use and the unit is a nice thick plastic that looks like it will hold up well, especially if it’s not out in the sun all the time.
