I have bought a lot of various types of solar lights over the years - with mixed results. I really like the simplicity of this design. No unsightly wires dripping off the roof from an unseen charger to the light below. It has a tidy appearance and I like that it is one hinged piece not separate ones. The motion sensor is responsive to movement of small animals. Useful for nocturnal predators eager for chicken dinner. The flashing lights help scare those critters off. This light is amazingly bright for solar. A real retinal fryer. Also, helpful as the predators always look directly at lights in general. This item has several attributes that are quite helpful. It doesn’t have to rely solely on solar power. Although having a security light that isn’t high maintenance is nice, the fact that it can be charged using a USB cable - so if you’re in the middle of monsoon season, you still have the option of a fully charged light. That being said, I live off grid and it tends to change how you view useful objects. Sometimes my limited solar just isn’t enough to power everything I need it to. This little security light is bright enough to light up a room enough to read by and portable enough to go from room to room with me. I just wish I had the option of leaving it on without the flashing. This is a high quality light, solidly built of good materials. It functions in a remarkable temperature range. It is priced well for such good functionality. It’s a great light!

I've gone back and forth on whether to give this a 4 or a 5 star review. I finally settled on a 5, simply due to the fact that for the price, it does everything the unit is advertised as doing. It comes with everything you need to get it operating and mounted. It charged up just fine in the Arizona sun, and once you get it in a dark spot at night it will light up with movement. I am curious how this plastic unit will hold up to a full Arizona summer day, but that won't take too long to find out.The directions could be more informative- it's a bare bones manual. The info you need is there, but the type is small and the information is the absolute minimum.

This is so easy to install, it is foolproof- just two screws! The solar panel is integrated into the housing of the light, so it feels sturdy and avoids wires connecting the two components. There are 3 settings to support the motion sensitivity, which may be important if extended battery use you expect. It only took a few hours to charge fully in direct sunlight. It hasn't run out of battery in any given night before being recharged the next day. The light is bright but doesn't penetrate the darkness beyond 15 or so feet. This is great for a driveway, porch, or deck, but will not brightly illuminate a deep back yard or expansive space. If you position this where you have an infrared motion camera, it will flare the pictures taken if the light faces the camera, so position it properly not to interfere with the camera operation.

I wanted one more good bright light for a spot as you drive down the driveway and this light has fit the bill. I have a few other solar powered motion lights and this one is by far the brightest. Setup to turn the light on was super easy and similar to the others. The one thing that made this light a little tougher than the others was screwing it in where you wanted it. I'm used to easily being able to screw lights in without detaching and reattaching anything. Unless I was missing something with this light, that wasn't the case. Don't get me wrong, it wasn't hard to do, just not near as easy as others. I had to detach the metal frame, screw it in and them I reattached the solar pad and light. All three components need to line up and you need to make sure you keep it level as the nut fits into slot on top that allows the screw adjuster to tighten without needing to hold the nut.Again, just not the easiest to setup. But it does work great.

Charges up and will light up if you manually turn it on, but it will not light up in motion detection or dusk to dawn mode. Very disappointing, and I would not recommend at all.

I received the 2-pack all-plastic solar lights with a simple/off switch only, so you cannot adjust the brightness. They come with two height adjustment poles to give you either 6" or 12" of height, not including the 5" lamp. The thin poles are very hard to push together, so I had to keep removing and reinserting them carefully to get them to push in all the way, but this makes them very unlikely to fall apart. But be very careful doing this so you don't break something. The stakes are only 4" high and very slim, so I would worry about the the durability of them lasting and supporting the lamp properly. If you wish to have the extra height, to avoid risking damage, insert the poles into the stakes and press, or hammer, gently into the ground BEFORE inserting the lamp on top. On the plus sign, the lamps appear elegant with their surrounding 4-posted black frame which creates some patterns on the nearby landscape. However, the price for two seems a little high, so it will be more economical to purchase a larger pack.

This Eontim Solar Flood Lights with Motion Sensor arrived packaged very well and in excellent condition. This Solar Flood Light arrived on the date and time promised when the original order was placed. This Solar Flood Light came with a set of very easy to read and understand directions and the unit was simple to install using two screws and placed into operation right after the install. We needed a motion light by our front door because we do not leave our front porch light on and we have some deliveries that arrive very early or late at night. This Eontim Solar Flood Light works very well and has brightness settings and other settings to meet your lighting needs. If you are looking for a Solar Flood Light with a motion sensor I would definitely recommend this Eontim Solar Flood Light.
