Have only had this item for about 3 weeks, but I'm already impressed. It worked better than expected from the time I placed it into the bird bath on day one. It's heavy, sturdy and well-made. It only takes a minimal amount of daylight to turn itself on. With full sun, it runs like a champ and both the fountain and the lights stay on well into the night. When birds begin to use the bird bath you will have to clean the intake on the bottom of the unit, but it only takes a few minutes and it's ready to go again. Highly recommended.

Use a Phillips screwdriver to loosen extension rods to swing out, then tighten screws. Better design than ones with the curved legs which don't stay out. There is a filter already in the motor, but to change or clean it, turn device upside down, pull motor unit directly up away from solar section (it is friction fit) to remove entire motor unit. Then you can pull the filter enclosure off by pulling it to the side (also friction fit). Do this over a table, because there is a plastic part that can fall out when you do this. The 3 choices of height is the slide on the bottom of the motor unit; use good light to see the + and - sign to know which way to slide it. There is an identical, slightly less expensive, unit without the lights.

I LOVE my new Solar Fountain Pump! It’s great for my bird bath. First of all, it has glass panels. The pump starts spraying water fast when the sun hits it! The four fixed rods are super easy to adjust—you just twist them to match your bird bath size (mine is 8 inches wide), and then snap it right in. No tools needed, and it’s ready to go instantly!One time I almost forgot to fill the basin, but the pump totally saved itself. It has these two sensing probes at the bottom, so when there isn’t enough water, the pump just shuts off. That’s awesome because I don’t have to worry about breaking it. Plus, there are two filter sponges that catch dirt, leaves, and stuff, so it stays nice and clean.When it gets dark? The 10 LED lights come on and cycle through 7 colors—red, green, blue, purple, yellow, cyan, and pink. My garden looks like a mini disco for the birds! I especially love watching the little sparrows dance around the fountain under the rainbow glow.The fountain has three spray heights (low, middle, and high) and six flower-shaped nozzles, two for each height. I’ve tried all the nozzles, and my favorite is the high spray because it shoots water about 20 inches into the air. It’s so satisfying! It’s easy to use, super durable, and makes my garden look amazing day and night.

This solar-powered water pump has worked really well overall, with one small caveat: it didn’t pump when it was cloudy, which didn’t quite match what the product photos and description suggested. That said, it wasn’t a huge issue for me since it still worked fine as long as the sun was shining directly on the panel. After a few days, I ran into another problem where the light on the back started blinking red and blue, even with plenty of direct sunlight. I reached out to the company, and they responded quickly, offering troubleshooting assistance. Not only did they help, but they also sent me a replacement pump after I mentioned the cloudy weather issue.I originally bought this solar-powered pump for a birdbath, and it completely transformed my backyard. I placed it in a small tub of water, and the birds quickly discovered it. It’s been a hit all summer, turning my garden into a popular hangout for birds who love to splash around. I’m planning to build a larger permanent pond next year, and I’ll definitely be incorporating this pump into that setup. I also love the multifunctional spouts, which provide a variety of water flow options. The new side spikes that help center the fountain are a nice touch. I even used it to turn a large flower pot filled with water into a fountain, and added synthetic water lilies for extra decoration—it looks beautiful! Overall, I’m really happy with this purchase and would highly recommend it.
