So here is how I am using these: I have a front walk up to the front door with a couple of small steps between the sidewalk to the door. I have always found these hard to navigate in the dark at night. The porch lighting does not do enough to illuminate the steps, so now I have these lights. I like several features of these lights...first off I like that they have a low profile, prefect for lighting up the steps down low where the step is. They have several options included with the lights as to how to "mount" them, including ground stakes, double stick tape, and screws to wall mount them if you want. You can also just lay them flat if you have a flat spot to put them. I like that they are solar powered....if it can get a days worth of sun you will basically get light out of them all night long (8 to 10 hours according to the instructions). Of course if it can't get enough hours of sun it wont make it through the night, but then I should not have people walking up to my door all night either! I also like that they are waterproof, which they need to be both because they are outdoors, but also because they sit so low to the ground where water can pool. I know they don't intend for these to work UNDER water, but still. I got the white light ones because I think they might work better for lighting up the stairs, but they come in a cool blue light too. You get four lights per set, so order more if you need them for your purposes. I like them, they are perfect for my project.
