I was unable to find additional documentation on the breaker, so I ran some tests using 24v DC, 40-60A. This version didn't include wire, so I used some 8AWG THHN2 for this test (rated to carry 55A). While the wire got warm, the breaker did not. I manually interrupted the current multiple times with the breaker, and there were no issues (burning, arcing, etc).Since it's advertised on Amazon as a solar disconnect, I believe it would work for this purpose. However, buyers should be famiiliar with what they need and make sure this fits their requirements. For instance, most solar panels put out around 10 amps, so this breaker could handle several strings in parallel. In terms of current limiting though, an 80A breaker doesn't make sense, as you'd have to parallel 7-8 strings (at which point you're likely better off with a string combiner box), not to mention most solar controllers aren't built to handle 80amps on the solar input.Interestingly, the cable glands on the top and bottom are large enough to accomadate 1AWG wire (which could actually handle 80 amps), but the solar connectors look like they would only fit 10awg. There are no instructions, and the included hardware seems intended for a range of wire sizes. The lack of documentation would also make this difficult (if not impossible) to get permitted / inspected, if your using this on a home. I use a similar setup on an RV - and I think this item could work for that - but there are other products with documentation that might be a better fit.

Excellent quality, two separate wire feed works well with large solar cables. Breaker and cable will not get hot during peak hours.
