The configuration is very specific for louvers with the connecting bar on the side. My vents have the connecting bar in the middle of the louvers, so I had to attach this at the bottom and use a chain with hooks on each end to connect to the bar. It works great.

These openers are terrific. They open and close my greenhouse shutters as the temperatures go up and down. It's so great to have automated ventilation! No batteries required.

The wording of solar power is misleading the unit dont work with solar but with the heat in the area but the link between the unit and the louvers you got to make your self
