This is stamped 10k on the jump ring and does not react to a magnet. I don't do destructive or dangerous testing so that's as far as I go in confirming the metal content.The jump ring itself is not soldered closed. It's shut quite nicely, but I can still see the join, so it's either not soldered or incompletely soldered. There's a flat spot on the jump ring and on one side of the actual pendant. These are evident (to me at least) only under magnification, but they're indicators that I'm not holding an item that needs a five-star rave review. At social or even closer distances, these will not be visible. They're also not terribly inappropriate at the price point ($40 at time of review).This comes in a very cute gift box that they proceed to destroy with a massive bar code sticker that covers nearly the entire back. It rips the box up if you try to get it off, so basically the box is useless and you'll need to make other arrangements for gift giving. That's an unfortunate waste of resources when all they had to do was protect the box they'd already bought.There's also no reason to reference 14k gold when the only piece available is 10k.

This solid gold charm comes in a pretty presentation box. The product description says 10/14 karat gold. It IS 10 karat gold, not 14 karat. Be clear on what you're buying. Also, it is a charm for a charm bracelet. That means it is small. Also be clear on its size. Compared to other charms of the same size, it is a very pretty and well executed peace sign. I'd say it is a god value. I'll be saving this (for aboutu 4 years) until my granddaughter is old enough (and responsible enough) to appreciate and care for this peace sign charm. I like it!
