This beautiful turtle knocker is all we had hoped for…very handsome and well made. Satisfyingly heavy…knocking can be easily heard.Delivered on time. Easy to install. Reasonably priced.

Very solid and weighty. I like it very much. One thing to note is that once mounted on the door, the turtle only swings so far up before the back legs (flippers) hit the door. I predict that it will eventually start rubbing off my paint depending how rough people are.It may be a good idea to place some type of plate to protect the door or some felt tips on the flippers to prevent damage. When installing, I decided to place a bolt that went entirely through the door and placed a nut on the other side to secure it. I did not feel that my fiberglass door would have been able to hold it securely with the insulation it has inside. This made me feel comfortable.Apart from that it’s a nice piece to add to a door.

The turtle knocker is beautiful, well made and good quality. I gave it 4 instead of 5 stars because it is rather small It looks larger in the picture. I will keep it but it’s not quite perfect.

Bought for our beach condo and it doesn't disappoint. Now, when someone knocks on the door we can hear them. Love it. It looks like it will hold up well in the salt air and high humidity of the Caribbean.

I love this door knocker! It's really pretty and I get many compliments on it. At our condo complex we are not allowed to put screws in the door, so I mounted this with very strong Gorilla tape. Even though the mounting back is quite small, measuring only about 1" x 3", and the turtle is quite heavy, the whole thing weighing over 1 lb, the back is flat and by mounting it with Gorilla tape it is staying in place quite nicely.

This is a very nice door knocker. Perfect for our coastal decor. Good quality and easy to install. We drilled starter holes and took the turtle off the base to make attaching the bass easier, then reattached the turtle. Very happy with our purchase.

This solid brass knocker looks great, and it's super easy to install. (Some folks mentioned having trouble reaching the mounting screws, but it's simple to remove the turtle from the mounting plate, install the plate, and then reassemble on the door.)Downside? People comment on how nice it is, but ask why it's upside down. Also ... even the visitors who realize it's a knocker don't use it. Must be a cultural thing, I guess.

OK...The turtle door knocker is adorable....however, it is nearly IMPOSSIBLE to install. To screw in the 'base' plate the turtle has to be up and away from the plate of course...the turtles feet and back of shell hit the door and keep the base plate from going anywhere near being flat to the door, to attach.I don't even know how my husband managed to install it...I had to leave out of frustration. It's VERY obvious, whomever designed it NEVER tried to install it. Just a major 'heads up'
