I bought this to see if we had a propane leak in our motor home. My wife was always complaining she thought she smelled gas. I turned off the gas at the tank and hooked this meter up at the stove. I turned on the gas and let the system come to a steady state. I turned off the gas again. If there is a leak the meter will show a loss in pressure over time. Over a period of a hour or so the pressure went down ever so slightly. I then checked all the connections with soapy water a found a tiny leak at the fitting to the furnace. I repaired it and we are all still alive.

This works great. We bought it to do a drop test on our camper so we did not have to pay a tech at a camping place to do it and it worked nicely. But, only recommended to persons who know how this works. Be care around propane.

I JUST paid over $200.00 to have a mobile RV repairman diagnose why my furnace WASN'T working. turns out the regulator wasn't allowing enough pressure into the system. Now that I have this device for around $50.00 I WON'T have to pay that ridiculous fee again!lI used this tester the day after it arrived. The furnace had once again quit working. I measured the gas pressure & found that it was low. Since the regulator had been adjusted the day before, I reasonably concluded that the regulator was faulty. With a replacement regulator the furnace was once again operating!
