Bought for a deer feeder. Easy to mount. Top of bin keeps the corn out of the weather. Easy to open and close. Nice size tray for the deer to eat from

This is a cheap thin metal feeder built in China. Price point would infer a more solid built feeder. Don’t waste your money.

I have a lot of deer passing through my yard. This feeder makes it easy to attract and feed Bambi.Unfortunately the squirrels can't read the note on the side that says "Deer Feeder. No Squirrels Allowed."So, they help themselves to the corn. The animals love the convenience of having the feed right there for them. And it's easy to refill when they empty it.

It claims 2 large bags of corn. Maybe half a bag at most. One of the inserts isn't seated properly so the bolt spins. There were scratches all over so we had to repaint quite a bit of it. Without repainting, the whole thing will just rust out. Overall, pretty disappointing and flimsy.Edit to 2 stars. All of the fasteners are rusting and I don't think it will survive a few more months.

Rain will swell protein pellets rendering the food wasted. I bought two and gave them away because it ruined all the food inside since the rain wicked up and turned it solid. Tree line makes a better product sold by tractor supply but sometimes are unavailable.

I got this to use in a chicken coop. We have a rat problem and was hoping to make it harder for them to get the food. I think it has saved me on my feed bill. The feed doesn't get spread all over the ground and wasted. It is better contained and the chickens don't spread it around as much. I live in the desert and the summer heat is brutal on everything. The material this is made out has held up so far, with no effects of weathering. It was really easy to put together and mount on the wall.

The idea of this seems great. But there were no instructions for building it, and that is ok because it's not really too difficult to figure out but still. Instructions help. Now on the build quality, it's fairly well made and looks solid. But there are some concerns...The system to hang on a tree is not optimal at all. I could see it being knocked off the tree easily by other animals. Also it may be water proof from rain inside the main holder but there is nothing to stop the feed from emptying out in the tray and the tray is of course not water resistant at all. Any critter could get inside this and just live there. I suspect rats and squirrels will love that part of this. But is it good? I suppose it is. Just not designed that great in my opinion.

This deer feeder has a great design and was easy to put together. It is constructed of sturdy coated metal, has automatic gravity feeding ability to dispense more food as needed, and is rust-proof and weatherproof. The food is protected and kept dry inside, while the little bit at the bottom is exposed while active feeding, but still has an overhang to help prevent the exposed area from getting too wet (with drain slots too). It's certainly just as protected as any other feeder, or moreso. You can easily mount it to a post or tree, adjusted to whatever height works for your situation. I say that because you can use this to feed deer, but also it would work for squirrels or livestock like goats or other small farm animals, especially if you just have a few like we do for personal use. It holds a huge amount of food - the capacity is about 11 gallons, is easy to refill with one hand screw at the top that removes the lid. This also keeps it on relatively securely to prevent theft and moisture. It holds the front more than the back, so with force the back might be able to be pried open a little by another animal, but it becomes more difficult once mounted against a surface. Overall, a really great, durable, useful, and attractive high capacity automatic feeder.

We will be using this deer feeding system this year as the season has just began. It is hung on one of our trees out in pasture. It holds almost a whole bag of deer corn. It was easy to install. We simply mounted it by screwing to a tree.

After opening the box and seeing all the pieces with only a single sided picture/instructions on assembly, I was worried.Didn't need to be, because I didn't even need the instructions, as it was impossible to put anything together wrong. the nuts are already attached to the metal, so you don't have to worry about what side anything goes on or where it goes, it kinda just flows together.Once assembled it is a very nice, solid and well functioning feeder. It will hold a LOT of food. I buy rabbit pellets in 60lb/25kg bags, and it will take more than two thirds of a bag.I can't imagine an animal that this wouldn't be good for on the farm. As it's marketed for deer, it would be great for hunters, or just for people who want the deer to come to their property so they can see them. Just drop a salt lick on the ground beside it and sit back and wait. The lid is good, it has a twist knob to attach/remove it. It's not hinged, nor is it attached at the back, just the twist knob at the front and the lid is completely removable.... And this is GOOD, because if it were hinged it would be hard to pour the bag in without it flipping back shut. Now, they give you two really smooth nails to attach it to whatever tree or building you wish to attach it to... but I wouldn't use them, grab a couple screws and a couple washers from your supplies and you'll have MUCH better results. The chute at the bottom is well sized, not too much or too little at a time. It also has slits for drainage so if water gets in, it will flow out and not settle there.

This feeder is solid.I like that it's easy to refill, that it has a lock on the top, and that it can hold a lot of food. But since there is always food on the bottom it can't prevent squirrels heist!Overall, it looks great, it's sturdy, stable and It will be perfect for observing deer in nature! :)
